Image Viewer/Editor
I'm looking for a replacement for my current image viewer/editor Compupic, which does not like Windows 7.
I need something to view pics, crop/resize, batch rename, add text, print screen, supports png files, makes icons & some other basic functions. I don't think I need something as fancy as Photoshop & I don't mind spending a couple of bucks. I did poke around the Google & found these alternatives: IrfanView Lightroom Faststone Anyone have experience with any of those? Other recommendations? Thanks |shake| |
How about Gimp?

I've used irfan view for years and years...excellent for what it does, and it ticks all the boxes on your needs, though the add text feature uses windows paint which is very basic

I love Irfanview - also been using it for years and years.

Looks like I'm going to give IrfanView a shot |thumb

So far, I'm liking IrfanView - thanks guys |shake|

I use XnView. Simple and free soft, for edit you can use Adobe plugins.
|
I'm a fan and active user of Faststone's products, but it does not necessarily mean they are the best :)

OK, I think I'm in love with IrfanView :D

Click and drag what you want to crop and select Edit->Crop or hit Ctrl-Y. If you want to batch crop, select File->Batch Conversion or hit 'b' and use the Advanced button for size and location. |

I have been using ACDSee for more years than I can remember. It can do pretty much anything.
