Best Software To Make Thumbnails Not Photoshop
 

Is that any good programs that will actually let you make fixed size thumbnails other than photoshop? Say I want to select a 150x150 thumb out of a larger pic, none of the free software like photoscape or any of them do that, they do great batch work and resizing but none seem to let you make good old fasion fixed thumbnails, and I dont feel like buying photoshop these days.

Anyone have a good simple program they can recomend? I used to have some someplace on an old box even when I has PS but not sure what I was using, havent had a need to make thumbnails much recently, mostly I edit tubes.

Gimp does much of what Photoshop does and it's free.

I will try that, is it easy to make good cropped thumbs in fixed sizes, ie pull a box around a certain area that makes it look good but still have it come out at right pixel size i preset?

I'm a Photoshop user so don't know Gimp very well but it has just about all the features of Photoshop.

Arles Image And Web Page Maker does a great job.

It is german language but you can set it to english!
Basicall you choose the folder with the pics and tell it to resize to whatever size you wish and it creates a new folder in the chosen folder with all the resized pictures!

I'm using it as well - works great!
