Care to share a tip or two?

Hello all.

Hope everyone is doing well. I wonder if any larger link list owners would care to share a tip or two, about growing a link list.

I want my link list to become a big player someday. :)

Stick to your rules
Look for and support quality submitters
Aim for quality over volume
Dont neglect your list
LinkSwap with sites that ALSO offer quality
Watch what your surfers do and adjust accordingly.

Thanks Dave...

That seems like some sound advice!

I'm interested in anymore thoughts or opinions on the matter from anyone.

Thanks in advance for anyone that replies.

Much thanks Dave! |newbie|

I've always based my rules for listings (for the most part) on what I'd like to see as a surfer. Seeing as Link Lists & TGP's need bookmarkers to survive, you need to keep them coming back the next day/week/whatever - you do this by making their surfing experience a good one :)

Thank you.

Buy a Comfy Workable chair.
Seriously, you'll be spending a great deal of time in it.. make sure it works for you.
It took me 3 chairs to find one that works well for me without getting back aches.

That's an interesting reply, and as a matter of fact, I just got me a nice big comfy chair. My last one did a number on my back and my neck it seemed.

:)

I thought it was just me and my age, I'm on my third chair and back is doing much better

Oddly enough, that is FANTASTIC advice! When my HD crashed 3 weeks ago, I ended up spending a week on my 2nd computer while I tried to recover the HD. My usual chair didn't fit with the desk that the 2nd computer is at, so I sat on a different chair while I worked. My siatic (sp) has been hurting ever since - I need to get my sore ass over to my chiropractor :)

1. Be Patient. It takes time to grow a list.
2. Provide a LOT of niche categories, and try to optimize each page for that niche.
3. Pay attention to google, SE traffic is GOLD.
4. Trade links with other lists, esp. category page trades.
5. Everything else everyone said.

Thanks Redcherry.

That is some good tips. Would anyone care to estimate howlong it should take to grow a list to lets say 1000 uniques a day?

Thanks again in advance. |waves|
