G00gle EMD Update: Exact Match Domains No Longer Rank As Well as of 9/29
http://www.seroundtable.com/google-e...ate-15776.html
I don't know about you guys, But I have several sites that had their traffic drop in half last week. Finally found out about this update, and yup, they were exact name matches. I'm wondering how other people with blogs and sites that went after keyword matches fared? |
Well, that does explain one thing I saw over the weekend :(
|
What about folders and subfolders that are named after the terms/keywords.
I think I will create amateur site called b5ybf5ybyf.com and /b6bm6ug/b7tbg7ng submit freesites :) |

it did hit my two sites (blogs) - both were strongly keyworded, but also old - one domain around 8 years, the other 6. I've changed updates rate (from 1 update / 2-3 days to 1 update a day) and diversified some linking which brought site back to the top. it's still like on carousel, one time 4, one hour later 9, few hours later again up...
today i've read opinions from ppl who did various experiments agaisnt emd - some of them say it's good to put now some links with full site address. so instead of 'keyword link' we can do 'keywordlink.com' or 'http://www.keywordlink.com' - if you ask me it's best to diversify... |
