Happy Turkey Day ... (2012/11/22)
Good morning. Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends and a happy birthday to CrazySy.
I am still on the mend but feeling almost normal today. I worked on my blog yesterday but that was about it. I know when I sit in front of my TV without my laptop that I am really sick. Just work on the agenda today except to take my daughter to school and to her therapist |loony|. Hope everyone has a great day, eh! |fonz| <- Did you see what I did there? |
Good afternoon. Nothing special happening here today.
It's not a good day to be a turkey today. Have a good day all! |
Damn... Thanksgiving already... forgot to pickup some tofu goat.
Went kayaking last night in our tandem kayak. It's a huge wide kayak that even with two people paddling it's like paddling a brick. Temps were in the lower sixties and I was in shorts and a tank top freezing with my hands and feet going numb from the cold, especially after getting soaking wet. Going to have to get some warmer kayaking clothes and gloves since we seem to be having a cold winter. (cold for south Florida that is) Heading up to spend dead burnt bird on the table day with Christy's parents and relatives. I've loaded up her iPad with books so that I have something to do while everyone screams at each other in Spanish, Portuguese and occasional English. |
Happy Turkey Day!
Due to work schedules, we had our feast yesterday, which means I can comfortably watch football all day |fonz| |
Good day, working today in the office though I suspect it will be a slack day. Might take a long lunch and watch come of the noon game lol

Getting close to being properly caffeinated, so next on the list is finishing up the cheese ball (gotta make it round and cover with chopped pecans), then make a double batch of green bean casserole. Will heat up the sweet potato casserole at the same time. Roomie has already made an ambrosia salad and a cranberry walnut salad. Headed over to his niece's place across town about noon-ish. Will be 23 or 24 peeps total, a ham and two turkeys (one traditional, one deep fried).
Of course, Texans game will be on the big screen. |
Good morning world |waves|
Mostly a relaxing day here, with no big family dinners to attend. Plans include good food and wasting time with some mindless tv watching. Not parades or sports, but other mindless stuff. Good day to finally get a lot of stuff off the dvr. Wishing everyone plenty of reasons to feel thankful, while also giving thanks myself for the nice community of people that this board has always been. (well, most of you anyway) :) |

Okay, with that said, I think it's only fair to mention (for anyone who may not know) that this whole Thanksgiving holiday is perceived quite differently but some of those who many think are included. So below are a couple of links that might make interesting reading if you're looking for something to argue about with your families later today.

Happy Eat Too Much Day :D
Trying to squeeze in a little work before people show up. Thankfully my inlaws stay at a hotel when they visit. It's the only nice thing about having a small house, thou I really wish I had room for visitors on occasion ;) |
