CCBill rant

Why is it CCBill is not improving?

** Please note the links below is live join pages randomly selected **

Average CCBill Join page: http://l.md/d89 now a slightly better version: http://l.md/d86

I would say that is a difficult user experience, fonts are small, context is mashed all around and generally its just dirty. Everything looks so 1999!

I love the affiliate system CCbill runs, its great and excellent compared to most out there. However with webmasters jumping ship I am finding it hard to promote ccbill sites as it seems everyone is moving on.

What are your thoughts?

How I would envision a great CCBill join page to function http://l.md/d87

Don't you think the stripe signup is much better? sure that is a stripped down version but the elegance, the styling, the card used icon shown it is so much smoother.

(type in 4242 - visa or 5353 -master or 3712 - ae to see the icon change)

I seriously hate CCBill's system. Shit stats/reports pages, insistence on opening a new window when you don't want it to, 90% of their links to the website resources don't work, and why the fuck do you need a new AFF code for each website you promote, why not just allow one code?

But at least CCBill gives you a combined check so you don't have small amounts floating around, never getting paid. And they don't charge you to issue a check.

I do agree, they need to fix up their backend, it's so slow.

Oh that reminds me of another reason I hate CCBill: You cannot set a minimum amount per cheque. So when I started using a CCBill sponsor for the first time I was getting really tiny cheques for a few months. Because US banking is such a pain to deal with, UK banks will not cash US cheques under $50. No problem with most sponsors, as you can set the minimum you want sent in one cheque. Not so with CCBill, I got cheques for $20, $30 etc, which are uncashable. I lost hundreds of dollars in those early days.

I still get those small checks from old links making little money so now and then.
But I save them up to reach a decent amount, email ccbill and am allowed to send them all back and get 1 new check for the combined amount.
So that is a positive note.

Lately however, I noticed a big increase in denied rebills, resulting in automatic cancellations.
They are not our #1 processor anymore for quite some time, but I still hate to see those members go.

They also have the worst tech support

As a conservative guy I have no major problem with CCBill, their support was always great to me. But the join page would be certainly better, that's for sure.

Oh I often get cheques from them - but that does not stop me from complaining!
