Every Sunday is a good Sunday to me as long as you...

...post in the "Morning" thread! I tell you, Skippy, this is no lie. A post from Skippy always makes me smile… Wish you a happy day… Good luck…

The Bitch decided to have a Massage Therapy guy come to the house today, so I'll be getting a massage and hopefully a Happy Ending! No, wait! Oops! Nevermind :-)

No Rumpleforeskin here (that is what us admins get to see when Skippy sees that Username ) :D

Cleaning house and running errands is today's plans plus whatever else I find time for on this raining start of the day.

I saw a UFO today. Big shiny thing, looked like an enormous fireball in the sky. My grandfather said it was something called "the sun" and that in days gone by, it used to oftentimes be seen in the sky, warming the world with it's heat, illuminating the land with it's light. But I think he is kidding me. It is a long long time since anyone round here saw a site like that, and I think "the sun" is merely a myth, invented by these mystic "Weathermen" to make us think there is something other than "the cold" out there.

Moved the office TV down lower for the third time. Hopefully the third time will be the charm.

Not bad for some old scrap wood that I got out of the neighbor’s dumpster. Going to paint the shelf white once we are sure that this is the correct height.

I've just noticed that I'm the only "non admin" posting in this thread. Do you think the others are afraid it will look like they fell for the -username here- trick and you will think they are stupid? That does not worry me. Most people already know that I am stupid!

Good Morning :)
Ecchi, you are not the only non admin in this thread now.

Yesterdays meeting of hippy's gf parents went well. Good food and lots of laughs so that was nice and I was able to get home in time to watch last nights Dr Who.

Grandbaby coming over in a couple of hours so between that, watching yesterdays recording of supercross and a movie the rest of day is covered. Enjoy!

Morning... Errr Night. Even though I didn't really drink all that much last night I woke up just with what felt like a drill being pushed into my skull. Was worth it though. Hadn't been with all those people in one room/party in such a long time. Was such a good time.

Now that I'm actually functional I'm working away on things while watching awesome Sunday tv. Watched the Angles get beat up on sunday night baseball (bah!), Game Of Thrones, and Mad Men.

While hungover I went on a pretty decent Law & Order run while just laying bed.

Anyway, time to get back to things. Hope you all had a good weekend.

At last, someone else on the board who is as culturally mature as me! :) I'm still deliriously happy with myself from the previous week's episode, because I actually noticed the name of the author on the book (Amelia Williams - It is Amy Pond's full married name - Amy is short for Amelia, and Rory's surname is Williams).

Sadly most people reading this will have no idea what I was just talking about. If you are one of those people it means you have lived your entire life missing the most important show on TV ever. :(

Damn, I missed that. May need to rewatch it ;)

I liked the Amy Pond character but really loving the new companion Clara. I get this Dr & Rose combo which I thought was brilliant, more so wth Tenant as the Dr than Eccleston.

I already have several times. In fact I have seen the entire series several times. I don't mean the "season" I mean the whole series. I've seen every episode that still exists several time, right back to the first one in 1963! Got them all on video or DVD.

But watch out, this kind of "Anoraksia" may mean that I spot small hints like this (my favourite being one a few years ago where the Doctor "outs" the Master as being gay), it may also mean I have an enormous collection of Dr Who toys, books, and memorabilia, but for some reason I don't actually have a girlfriend. Go figure! You'd think that this level of devotion to the worlds longest running Sci Fi show would make me a real babe magnet. But for some bazaar reason it doesn't!

JustRobert 2013-04-08 03:33 PM

I just started watching the whole series, netflix here in the states has it available for streaming, having just finished what they are calling season 5 The Carnival of Monsters from 1973. Thou I did not really find out about the Dr until the revamp with Eccleston. From that point forward I have watched a few times.

Just a few bits of merchandise for me but the best one is my wife went out and had a custom license plate ring made that says Bow Ties Are Cool on top and TARDIS on the bottom for my blue bmw. Thankfully I have a wife that likes the show as well, thou she preferred Torchwood more mostly because of Captain Jack.

I used to have a naked photo of John Barrowman (Captain Jack) and when I signed up for websites that needed a profile picture, I'd post the pic of Barrowman pretending it was me. Unfortunately after his stint on Desperate Housewives people began to recognise him the world over, so I had to stop using it. Nowadays I occasionally use a photo of Karen Gillan (for example, my current avatar here). That really confuses people, not because she is a woman and I ain't, but because I am well over twice her age. Ironically I am currently using a picture of her in the Pandorica, and I do own a photo of me in the same Pandorica (not Photoshop, a real photo taken when the "Dr Who Experience" was in London), but I rarely show that to anyone - it may make them think I am a nerd!
