Welcome to the last Hump Day of July 2013. It's a feuding relatives start of the day.
 

There is family and then there are relatives. At least we get to pick our family.

Going back three decades or so I had very wealthy grandparents on my mother's side that hated me because I was from my mom's second marriage and my dad was way too dark for these Catholic, Scandinavia, German, better than everyone else snobs that lived in the Northeast.

When they died my half bother and half sister, my mom along with some other relatives got a trust fund but as far as I knew I got nothing which seemed about right considering how despised I was by my grandparents.

BUT... seems that now that the person that had been in charge of the trust has died and some probate court has taken over the estate I was supposed to get a nice little chunk of change when my mom died as part of the estate was supposed to have been spilt up amongst her children, including me.

So I get a letter a few months ago stating that I need to sign off that I got this money and also the estate can't be liquidated until I sign off and if I don't I will be sued for the money (the money that I never got).

I don't know how much money is involved, at least not my part of it. I'm guessing enough to pay off some bills and take a nice vacation. Half my relatives are like just give her the money so that we can all get our money but a few want to fight all of this until death which probably isn't that far of for them considering their ages and the fact that they all seem to have cancers.

Personally I think that the lawyers are going to end up with whatever is left of this trust. I just know that I'm not signing off on money that I never got so I'm like pay me and you all can fight for the rest of it.

In the meantime I'll just be working trying to make ends meet so today will be just another day spent home working.

I bumped into a company that builds mainstream websites and I might do some work for them but I have to learn dotNETnuke instead of Wordpress. I'm a bit amazed they can charge so much building these sites though.

Can't believe it's the last day of the month. I had to put together a deposit and do bills yesterday which was a bit depressing. Not that many checks but lots of bills.

Cleo, sorry you have to go through all that. When it comes to money family members become down right evil sometimes.

Afternoon everyone. It's been a crazy week already. I'm going to be working until really late tonight for sure. Blah. So many projects and so little time.

My grandfather that is almost 99 is getting a pacemaker today if he can stay alive. His heart just can't keep up. He mentioned today though that last night he had a dream about him being at a train station. The train pulled up and he told the conductor he would not be getting on now. The conductor said that is fine and then the train left the station without him. |headbang|


It is amazing. Lots of sites I've built out this year already have been such easy money for the effort. One thing I'm loving now is basically you get a theme from theme forest and mod it all up to be nice for the clients. I'm working on trying to get a lot more of these going as a couple more of these a month would be a nice pad to the bottom line. |thumb
