It's a rocking start of the first Sunday of August 2013

So nice to see that the ocean is flat the storms have moved away the day after we spend the day out in the ocean.

Go up before sunrise yesterday. Checked the beach cam as soon as the sun came up. Saw that it was flat so went out of our friend's boat for a day of snorkeling the reefs. As soon as we got out of the inlet the ocean turned rough and nasty storms moved in. So instead we spent a few hours relaxing at the Haulover Sandbar and then took the boat back out into the ocean and hopped waves with the throttle wide open on our way back to the Port Everglades inlet.

Still trying to get the room to stop rocking. Stated getting motion sick just sitting down to take a piss this morning.

Trying to decide if we should go back out on the boat today or not since the ocean cam is showing flat again. Actually not even sure if our friend was able to get his boat fixed yesterday. We broke one of its trim tabs going over a huge wave that took us totally airborne.

Good morning world |waves|

We get fooled by the look of near shore waters all the time down here. This time of year in particular it can look like this from the shore but by the time you get anywhere the daily storm has formed up and rain is pounding down. Almost impossible to make plans more than a few hours in advance during the rainy season here. And those need to subject to change, rescheduling or saying fuck it.

Today is website work, then getting a newsletter out, maybe a blog gallery to submit if there's still time.

Then time to relax and look forward to Dexter, The Newsroom, Ray Donovan, and the season finale of The Killing. Probably won't see all those tonight of course.

Also recording the season finale of Falling Skies so I can watch it in one go with the three latest episodes I haven't seen yet waiting on the dvr. Plus grabbing episode 7 of Copper, to add to episodes 3-6 waiting for a block of down time to watch.

This week I watched disk 1 (of 2) of season one of Dirk Gently and his Holistic Detective Agency. (For fans of Showtime's comedy "Episodes," Dirk is played by Stephen Mangan, who plays Sean Lincoln. Kind of like what Sean could have been without his writing talent or wife.)

And now something that made me grin this morning...Geek Meditation

Wishing a good cache=cleared kind of day to all.

Good Day :)
Yesterday we drove down the coast to an art fair. On the way home stopped at our favorite Italian restaurant. Really nice day with near perfect weather.

Today I've done some work, watched the Dr Who special and now watching X Games waiting for the grandson to show up.

As with Simon, tonights episode of Copper will go straight to DVR with last weeks for a watch later this week hopefully.

I'm really looking forward to Falling Skies. Partner doesn't like Falling Skies but both of us enjoy Dexter and are dying to know haw this show will end.

We are both really enjoying this season of True Blood. Will be watching this Sunday's episode tomorrow. I think this season is one of their best in a few seasons.

Finished Orange is the new Black last night. Can't wait for the next 13 episodes.

We went out on the boat again today in picture perfect conditions. Ocean was flat as a pancake and water was crystal clear. Reefs were teeming with life today.

This has been a very good weekend so far.

Simon is right about the weather down here on this big sand bar. Weather was perfect and now this is what it looks like.

Now if only I could get the room to stop rocking...

I live about a half mile inland just west of the Intercoastal Waterway in the part of town known as Coral Ridge.
