Friday, Friday, It's Nice Out & It's Friday...

Good Friday My Flock |buddy|

So far, it looks like it's a beautiful day outside. Sunny, no wind, high of 77°. Too bad I purposely will only enjoy it via a window :D

Just work for me today, plus Emerald & BlueBrit (remember them?) are coming in for the weekend, mostly because they enjoy hanging out with the unwashed slack-jawed yokels at The 174th Erie County Fair & Redneck Festival |crazy| I've never been so happy that I have back problems, as it is the ultimate excuse for me to NOT go to this disaster of humanity :D

I also have to do some Fantasy Football prep work, as my 1st draft is on Sunday |fonz|

It's overcast with a light rain this morning but the weather is supposed to get nice for this weekend.

Restaurant is driving me crazy. Last night I had to figure out how to use Fishbowl since it seems I've taken over doing their mailings. It's money so I'm not complaining but the restaurant has too many people wanting to do things too many different ways with no direction. Got sick of all different people asking me to send the same artwork over and over again so this morning I setup a directory with fancying indexing and have started throwing all the artwork in there so that anyone can grab what they need.

Doing Foxy's updates this morning and then my usual porn stuff and after that will be working on an outsourcing brochure.

Overcast and humid down here, with rain on the forecast for every day through at least the middle of next week. Got most of my running around done the other day so I'm fine with sitting inside while it rains out there, getting work done and relaxing when I hit my limit.

Your post had me thinking of this image recently posted on our local commentary blog...

Morning. So happy it's Friday. I'll be working a ton during the weekend. At least though I'll hopefully be catching up on a lot of things. So much paper work to process and handle. Finally have an office again. So it's still not fully together at least I have a space now.

Season 3 of Downton is on Netflix now. So the lady and I have been starting in on those. Also downloaded the whole works of Sherlock Homes on my kindle app for my phone. Pretty good read so far. Starting with "A Study In Scarlet." :)

Have a good one everyone.

Personally I quite like county fairs, so I clicked on your link to see the site. Whatever the fair is like, they hired a real "no nothing" back-wood redneck to create their website. Not the worst commercial site I have ever seen, but still gonna loose them a lot of trade!

One of us better apply for the job of designing next year's site for them. They could do with the help of a competent professional!

I will say that I used to enjoy the Demolition Derby, especially when my step-son (RIP) was driving the car I sponsored :D

I enjoy the occasional demolition derby too. But I prefer the British style stock cars. That involves an oval track, not a large one, about the size you would get if it ran around the outside of a football pitch, so you can see the whole thing if you stand in a good spot. No one drives high performance cars, they are all junked road cars of the sort you get in a demolition derby. The drivers are all amateurs. Basically, a lot of nutters driving fast round the track trying to come first, with a set number of laps but few rules (I once saw a car win the race with it's engine on fire).

Occasionally they use a figure 8 track to make it more exciting. Often they end with a demolition derby, using the cars that got so badly beat up during the races that they ain't gonna race again!

I find it a lot more exciting than "proper" motor racing (Formula 1, Nascar, US style stocks, etc). And the races are short enough to get in eight or more in an evening, with enough time between races to get a beer in, so by the end, very exciting!

I can beat that!

Although I wish I could find the main event instead of just the final 2 :(
