In Friday's thread we talked about demolition derby. Today my place looks like I've been playing demolition derby with computers. I've got open computers and bits of computers all over the place. Whatever happened to the idea of "computer compatibility"? It is like I have nine totally different creatures open! I've got 24 pin power supplies I can't fit into 20 pin boards. Sata hard drive connectors that I want to force IDE drives into, etc. I got a pile of adapters, converters, etc at the computer fair, but what I probably should have done is bought a pile of whole new computers!

The most annoying part is that I am also using an early version of XP. I know I can improve it by going to Microsoft Update, but I also know that Microsoft will fuck it so that it cannot work 16 bit software, and I'll have to start manually deleting dll files to run the software I need.

Fuck I wish Commodore had not gone bust, I really miss my Amiga. Now that was a computer.

Morning. I'm just busy dialing in the new office while trying to also code. So far I've just stared at my screen a lot. Finally just said fuck it and surfed here and other boards. Hopefully just getting it out and out of the way I can actually get some real work done.

Last night went to the movies and saw "Despicable Me 2." The minions crack me up. Movie wasn't anything special. Decent just little animated laugh. Other than that I watched some PBS channel on my roku. Later in the night got almost through "Downton Abbey" season 3.

Anyway, hopefully back to work here. Have a good one.

we are staying with a friend in key largo and are kayaking around john pennekamp right now.

Thought about staying tonight too but his A/C has died for good until he picks up a new fan motor back on the mainland.

The Upper Keys, or as we Middle and Lower Keys dwellers call them, the Barely Keys. ;)

Definitely too hot and humid without A/C.

We actually considered getting a room if Florida Bay Outfitters had their Hobie Island Adventure Tandem available for rental tomorrow but it seems that whoever took it out today broke something so it's down for repairs.

We want to do Bahia Honda State Park which is down your way but due to a few things, like lack of money, haven't been able to.
