Facebook ???
 

I came to a conclusion that I don't really need Facebook. So I deleted the app from my samsung and bookmark from my laptop chrome but not yet the account. I'll wait few days or weeks and then time will show if I'll keep it or no. Maybe just for strict developer purpose.

I have never had a facebook. Even with a very close friend that worked at facebook when it started. I actually some what like instagram. I had a friendster account waaay back in the day and never had a myspace account.

Google plus I actually do enjoy though too. I think it's though that I've for the most part have been able to taylor the experience to information I want to read. Basically with the circles feature I can view information that I'm interested in. I've done this with Twitter as well and lists. So I have a friends list on there, a tech list of tech related information, music list on music djs, bands, etc. that I like, sports, etc.

From a lot of people I hear from they have started to just use facebook as more just for business and not really to keep up with people. They look at it. Just not like how they used to where they would be using it on average 2+ hours a day. With games, etc.

I'm all for facebook becoming less and less important. There really needs to be a decentralized type of social media network that you control your own area and have the ability to grant who actually can look at your stuff. Or if you choose to go the hosted route on a server you don't run you as the user know that you have given up some rights to have it hosted for free.

Ok rant mode over.

At least GG's board is much more useful as a social network. :)

I have a Facebook acct I check once in awhile to keep up with friends and such. I don't let it suck my time up. I'd like to use it for adult but they require 'real person' info and I'm leery of making that connection...

I like Facebook. I have two accounts. On is PG and the other is adult.

I set up a Facebook account in order to put up a business page. I don't use it for personal stuff. Really don't have that kind of time. Although I am really enjoying my Google Plus experience. Like bDok said I have much more control in terms of streams to follow. I must say there are a ton of people on G+. Surprised there aren't many adult businesses over there. Not complaining :) I mean if Beyond Kink can make a home there any one can!

I am ashamed to say it but I think that I am kind of a facebook addict. First, we have a few business accounts on there but my wife takes care of those.
I use it personally because I love the political discussions, I comment and can't wait to see what other people have answered, come back, comment again. I think that I'll soon have to go to an facebook anonym meeting.

sliiing, so you're one of those guys |loony|. Just kidding. I know there are plenty of heavy users who make a number of political posts. I wonder about the demographics. They seem older and angry.

I'm 41 and I loose patience from time to time. So I guess that I fit your definition. :D

I get so much facebook spam it was easier just to delete the account and mark anything from facebook as junk mail

I LOVE Facebook, which of course is the problem. I was easily spending 3-4 hours a day over there. I had to read EVERY status update on the newsfeed. I had to "spy" on some of my "friends". I had to "check in" every place I went. I had to upload every pic I took with my phone.

Then I said fuck it. Now I stop in once a day to read my messages & see if anyone's talking about me :)

After a certain age you realize you don't have as many friends as you had or thought you had. It's called growing up. What facebook does is keep you in this adolescent state of thinking. That being said, I have seen people make important recollections that that they otherwise would not have been able to do.
I do however have multiple business facebook pages like this one fyoungaction. Which I need to do more with. Hey if everyone else is doing it, why not.

I know people that are sooo proud to have 1000's of "friends" on facebook. It always reminds me of a girl that I once knew.

She was stupid and bad mouthing everyone. However, she had nice hard natural big boobs. She was as dump as a cow but she had a lot of male friends because she had great boobs. |boobies| I don't know why but people who are having many "friends" on facebook always remind me of that girl. Proud to have many friends but for the wrong reasons.

I used to have over 600 and, aside from a few celebs & famous people, I did actually know all of them. But, when I decided to cut back my time on there, I shitcanned a lot of them & now I'm down to 269.
