I think we all know what Saturday is... The 24th Anniversary Of The Who's 1989 Reunion Tour! |headbang|

The Bitch was looking at our Verizon bill online Monday & we saw that, not only were we both due for an upgrade, but our current iPhone 4S phones were being bought back by Verizon for $200! And, seeing as the new iPhone 5C's were $199, we each got new phones for (basically) FREE! |bananna| We did have to pay some fees & we each got a case, but all in all, it was WAY under what I thought we'd have to pay |thumb

That's the good news. The bad news for today is that I have an appt with my Neurosurgeon to go over my latest MRI. |greenguy| is |scared|

Greenie, the iPhone 5s is a solid upgrade. Much faster, better screen, better camera and the fingerprint sensor works really well. We had the original iPhone 16 gig phones. Apple gave us $118 for each and then we bought 32gig 5s phones for $200 each.

I had to get a new windshield mount since my old one wouldn't fit the new phone and also wanted a wallet case.

Christy got a silicon case at Marshalls for $10 and we found 3' black Vivitar brand cables for $15 that actually work.

Well, that was a waste of time. Doc says that my MRI looks basically the same as the one from last year, so something else is causing the new pain & swelling.

Back to the drawing board...

I spent Wednesday with someone I have not seen in years. He said that he likes spending time with me because by comparison I make him look normal!

Hmm, at the time we were discussing the plans I have made for my own funeral (which, considering my state of health, is a sensible precaution IMHO). I also think it is fair that I don't want everyone to be sad, wandering about in black. So I want all mourners to dress in the ceremonial robes of the High Council of Gallifrey, what is wrong with that? Oh, and I also want to be buried with my sonic screwdriver.

The Who have had so many bloody reunions, that picking one out and celebrating it is like celebrating the anniversary of the breakfast you ate last Tuesday! I can even remember to going to a "Not a Who reunion concert, just an 'all the surviving members of the band getting together to sing Who songs' concert" a few years before their most recent reunion tour!

My father just bought himself a wood burner for his front room. He does not need it, his house has gas central heating. But he really enjoys sawing logs, so he got one to give him an excuse to do that!

I can never understand the need to keep upgrading. My 'phone makes calls, surfs the 'net, takes photos and videos, and can play games. It is years old, well out of date, and would get me laughed at if I were a teenager. But it does everything I want, it even has several function I've not mentioned because I never use them. So why even spend five minutes of my time upgrading, let alone spend money, to get one that does exactly the same thing? Seems pointless to me!

It is probably God's punishment on you for not taking the importance of next Saturday seriously!
