Waking up to a wet and sticky one. 2nd to last Monday of 2013
 

Had to turn the A/C back on this morning and now it's raining.

Up at the insanely early time of 4:30 am to get ready to hit the gym with Christy. Only made it to the gym once last week and today my leg screamed loudly at me that I need to go at lest three times a week. I think I see another angioplasty in my future. :-/

Just a day of work planned. Sam Notarbartolo the Photographer is bartering with LMC123 trading his talent for accounting work so I'm trying to put together a food shoot for next Saturday. Chef Farid Oualidi will be cooking each dish and then it will be photographed as soon as each dish is ready. Between egos and logistics what should be a simple shoot is turning out to be a bit like herding cats. I've been asked to bring an iron so that we have nice looking tablecloths. Iron might also come in handy in case anyone's egos need smoothing over.

Fucking fuck!

100,000s of thousands of people in the greater Toronto area are without power and could be until after Christmas! We got more freezing rain 2 nights ago than we normally get in 2 1/2 years! We have power but still no cable or internet. We may have friends bunking with us over the next few days as their house is about 60 F / 16 C and no hot water. Anyhow, that's it. I may be reduced to reading a hard copy book!

Spent some more time cutting firewood with my dad. Also bought some Christmas gifts.
Since the girlfriend is going to a Christmas party with her old volleyball team I'm home alone with the kids. That's always fun :)

I was in San Francisco over the weekend visiting family and thankfully checked something of mine Sun morning only to find out near everything was down again.

First response was that my new server had failed like my old one did just 2 weeks ago and the recovery of the system was corrupted.

Thankfully during my 8 hr drive home today someone figured out that my old server was still connected and when the new server had a hick up on Saturday, because of someone scrapping a number of my sites, it brought up the older server instead of the new one. Old one is now disconnected and the scrapping person blocked.

Fun and yet frustrating weekend.

Shit. We just had a big storm and the news said that about a hundred people may be without electricity over Christmas, but 100.000s really puts that in the shade.
I'd never do that. My father loves cutting firewood, if I cut some of his for him it would be like stealing some of his favourite candy!
