Welcome To Monday: Hurricane Blizzard USA!

Morning! |snowman2

I was watching The Today Show & that fat blob of shit Al Roker was describing what over 1/2 of the US States were going to be experiencing as far as this EXTREMELY cold weather that is coming down from the North Pole |pokefun||santa2 I'm paraphrasing part of this, but he said something along the lines of "...you can think of this as a Hurricane Blizzard"

WTF IS A HURRICANE BLIZZARD?!|scared|

There was a massive rain then snow storm that passed thru here in the middle of the night that is about the size of New York State. I thought THAT was part of this, but NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

The mess here starts this afternoon. Between then & Wednesday, they are predicting my area will get 2' of Lake Effect Snow! You know it's gonna be bad when they stop using inches & start talking feet!! |scared|

|pokefun|The Bitch has to work today. I told her to call off, but she is a stubborn old bag :D

Me? I'm gonna stay in the house & work, all the while watching my live Weather Underground WunderMap app, which currently has North America under a Hurricane Warning |snowman|

So, what's the weather forecast for your area? |lol|

Oh yeah - sorry for my absence the last few days. Stupid fucking funk!

Good morning. |coffee

It's warm and sunny and I may have to put the AC on. Oooops, that's likely the forecast for Cleo and Simon. Actually, the heavy snow forecast did not materialize but the temperatures are getting really cold over the next few days.

Glad everyone is back at work and school so I can get some work done.

Have a great day! |thumb

While that's true for the southern portion of America's Wang, those that live up north, in the Jacksonville area for example, are in for a little surprise:
Quote:

Tonight
Windy. Much colder. Mostly clear. Lows 19 to 24 inland...in the upper 20s coast. Northwest winds 20 to 25 mph with gusts to 30 mph. Lowest wind chill readings 3 to 8 after midnight.

Tuesday
Breezy. Much colder. Sunny. Highs in the upper 30s. North winds 15 to 20 mph. Lowest wind chill readings 4 to 9 in the morning.

Tuesday Night
Mostly clear in the evening then becoming partly cloudy. Lows 24 to 29. North winds 5 to 10 mph.

The low tonight is -24C / -11F without the wind chill. The high for tomorrow is -16C / 3F. Cold yes, but I am sure Pagan or Ramster can beat that.

P.S. to my Americans friends: They measurement system you use is the IMPERIAL system. Rid yourself of your colonial past and adopt the system the rest of the world is using (so I don't have to translate). Did I mention it was invented by someone French? You know, those people who think Jerry Lewis is a genius!

No snow, no hurricanes, no A/C, but it is supposed to get up to 84˚F before going down into the forties tonight. I do need to cover the macaw's enclosed today while it is still toasty warm out before the temps drop tonight.

We were supposed to bike Shark Valley yesterday but didn't go due to on and off rain storms. Instead we went over to the West side of town and spent most of the day at the malls looking for work clothes for Christy. Oddly the rain had moved north of Shark Valley by the tine the biking Meetup happened and hit the part of town we were in. :-/

It's back to the grind for me today. Besides my usual work of marketing smut I may or may not have design work to do for the restaurant. I find myself in the middle of a power struggle between the manager and cook who are asking me to create new advertisements and the owner, who is pissed off at his latest gf and most of the world, who doesn't want to spend any money at all on advertising.

Good morning world |waves|

You're correct, Art, it's been a warm 78º (F) morning with no breeze and plenty of humidity, so I do have the a/c on. But there's supposed to be the edge of a cold front passing through here later, so I'm hopeful we'll be back to no a/c and open windows soon.

It may be a new year (I still have to get used to writing 2014 on things), but this week is going to be much like most of the weeks of 2013 as far as work is concerned. No blizzard to knock out the power and Internet, so no good reason not to get things done.

Wishing everyone a good start on the New Year.

:)

Currently 27°F here. The natives think hell has frozen over. Supposed to get into the high teens overnight tonight. Record cold temps for this area. On the up side, mosquito population should be much lower come Spring and Summer.

Good morning!

Icy as shit here with the rain but it's dreadfully dark out there, you just know a storm is coming. Though I think we're in for rain, freezing rain then maybe snow but I think the snow is being saved for Greenie and all the US peeps lol

First things first.... Arriba los chargers! Ah yea!

Today it's going to be between 72-78 here. Very nice!

I have life stuff to handle early on and then a trip to the doctor with the baby for a check up. Then I have some offline work to handle. I have servers to rack up and a server room to clean up.

Have a good one.

Good Day :)

Like bDok it's going to be mid to upper 70's F and because it's very dry, due to lack of rain/snow, we have fire warnings in the SoCal region. |loony|

Got a new iPod for |xmastree| to replace the very old one in the car that died. Finally got it loaded with music so time to plug it in and go for a drive along the coast between all the work I have today :D

Glad they're memories instead of my view out the window though.

Shit -40F wind chill bullshit is a surprise for my southern ass anyways. It got down to -17F
at the house last night. I expect it to be cold here but damn that is too much for me.

Sub zero highs today. Tomorrows forcast is like a heat wave. 19F for the high.

Yep. I've been in two places where when I woke up in the morning and tried to look out the windows and couldn't see anything. It was because so much snow had fallen and drifted from the wind that the widows were completely covered. Also couldn't open the front door for the same reason. Had to drop someone out a second floor window to shovel us out.

Good times.
