I Survived The Hurricane Blizzard Hump Day!
Morning! |waves| Well, I think it's over! The Blizzard & Wind Chill alerts have been called off & now we're just under a normal Lake Effect Snow Advisory |snowman2 We did have a pipe freeze in the basement, so that kinda sucks. It didn't burst, but we're still trying to thaw it out. So, other than that & a little "digging out", I'll be here working all day |fonz
Shouldn't the camel be covered in snow?
No frozen pipes here but this cold really makes my leg issues much worse. Was supposed to go to the gym this morning but didn't want to deal with going outside in "Florida" frigid weather. Finally gave in and turned on the heat this morning. Temps are actually back up in the sixties but our house finally lost its warmth after two days of cold weather. Should be back up into the eighties by tomorrow and this weekend is looking to be beautiful, just in time for our hike through Fern Forest this Sunday. Just a day of work planned. |coffee

Good morning. |coffee
Here's to a snow covered cameltoe hump day! http://greenguysboard.com/board/atta...1&d=1389186940 Been in a bit of a funk the last few days but feeling good today. I really have no reason to be down. This year should be a good one. Site work and transferring over my friend's data over to a new computer today. Have a good one! |thumb |
Good morning.
For a change we're not getting what most of the eastern US and Toronto area is getting, it's been cold but not crazy cold. Last week it was -40 with windchill and yesterday only -25 lol |
Morning. It's actually a little cooler today. In the 60s. I just have a day of handling a lot of wordpress upgrading. That and working with someone on getting this one template responsive. Well at least starting on that project. Later today I get to move some monitors at a clients office. Blah. Whatever though the pay is good.
Anyway, have a good one. I'm going to get some coffee and then wake the baby up so he can drink for some tits. Have a good one. |
Good Day :)
As bDok stated we are in the 60's which is perfect for me. Of course I heard on the news this morning that with the lack of rain & snow in Cali that we will be in drought zone sooooo...all those to the east need to start sending your snow this way. |
Blech |dizzy|
Within an hour of posting yesterday, my eyes started watering so heavily it looked like I was crying. |verysad Then the sneezes started, every few minutes and several at a time. |sneeze| And when I wasn't sneezing my nose was running like someone was having a going out of business sale on mucus. |no_smilie| Did I mention fever? Either my head was on fire or I'd been keeping my hands in the freezer. The only thermometer I have has a dead battery so I maybe it wasn't as high as it felt from here. I don't know what it was, but it took me down for the full day. Spent most of it on the couch after I finally gave up on trying to get any work done while not able to see and keeping a tissue in each hand. Went to bed early and slept like a rock. Feeling better today, with only a very light dusting of yesterday's symptoms. I have no idea if it was a 24-hour flu or what. But it really hit hard. Harder than anything in many years. So I'm taking most of today off too, just to make sure it's really gone and make sure I'm feeling great when I get back to working. Wishing everyone a day of freedom from whatever the fuck decided to rain on my parade yesterday. :) |
Well, I spoke too soon about "surviving" the Hurricane Blizzard :(
My mom came in from the kitchen & said that the water pressure in the sink was really low. So I go take a look & I hear a familiar sound. It was faint, but I could hear it. The sound was what you hear in certain areas of the house when we're filling the pool: it's the main waterline going down to The Pool House |scared| So, I go wake up The Bitch & tell her that I think we have a problem. We then walk down to The Pool House, open the door, and our worst case scenario fears came true: water was GUSHING from the ceiling |cry| A pipe in the attic froze & burst sometime between when we went down there to get something around 6:00 PM yesterday & 8:00 AM today. This is easily the WORST flooding we've had in The Pool House - there's about 2 inches of water over near my TV :( Now, after calling our insurance company, we have to wait until tomorrow to have ServePro come in & clean everything up because we're not the only ones in the area to have a pipe burst. http://greenguysboard.com/greenguy/PoolHouseFlood01.jpg http://greenguysboard.com/greenguy/PoolHouseFlood02.jpg http://greenguysboard.com/greenguy/PoolHouseFlood03.jpg http://greenguysboard.com/greenguy/PoolHouseFlood04.jpg Nice, huh? |snowman2 |

Wow Greenie,
I never thought you would have a water pipe in the ceiling of a one story building, damn that sucks. |
Damn with all that wood
Hopefully the boards won't warp |
Oh man...that sucks big time, Greenie.
I'm sure you must be |angry| as hell. Hope the damage isn't as bad as it looks like it could be. |
