Welcome To My Nervous Monday!

Morning! |waves|

Well, today is the day for me: I've got my Social Security Disability hearing at 11:30 & I'm feeling extremely |scared|

My lawyer says I'll be fine.
My doctor says I'll be fine.
The Bitch says I'll be fine.

Me? I got my hair cut:

No disability hearings or haircuts today.

I do feel like I've been run over by a bush though. Went kayaking in my solo kayak yesterday for the first time in many months. Only did a bit over five miles but it was against the tide both ways and part of the way in huge wakes from passing boats.

Just a day of work planned before grocery shopping this evening. I live such an exciting life. :-/

Ouch! I'm in the middle of a similar process, I just talked to my supervisor actually.
I'll send you my best thoughts for sure!

Other than that, I decided not to complain about the cold weather |lol|

What this you say about cold weather?

This was about an hour ago - it stopped & my yard now looks like some sort of Winter Wonderland |snowman2

Next week will by my nervous Monday...

I have been living in Amsterdam for about 3 years now. Since bicycle is my mode of transportation, I have let my US drivers license expire. For some strange reason Holland does not like US drivers so I could not transfer my license here? They think they come in a box of Corn Flakes or something and anyone can get one??

Next Monday I will have to take lessons to get a Dutch one. If you have never been to Amsterdam, driving in the city is chaos! Bikes have the right of way and my new lessons will be in the city center with all the bikes and trams. I have been driving for 16 years and cannot tell you the last time I got nervous getting into a car.

@Good luck Greenie

Good morning! |coffee

I am thrilled that my link list design is finally finished. Now I will start testing it and adding sites. That's all on the agenda for today except taking my daughter to and from school and shoveling snow.

Have a great day! |thumb

When I went to Amsterdam one of the impressions I had is only the tourists were fat. Locals on their bikes were everywhere lol. How is it for an American in Amsterdam? I remember it as a great city with great museums and parks and such.

Well I got fat after I moved here... The damn beer is so much heavier! |lol|

I love it here, really. Plenty of stuff to do. Amsterdam is a big city that operates much like a small town. Shops are smaller and have a neighborhood feel. So when you go inside, the waiter, bartender, waitress, or clerk is likely someone you see day to day. I have been going to the same pub for the 3 years I have lived here and when they see me locking my bike out front, the beer is on the bar. Oh and of course there is plenty of |potleaf||potleaf||potleaf|, but depending on what part of the US you're from, I guess that it is not much of a problem anymore.

The city is big, yet small enough to get around on foot. Best though to see the city by bike. Any local will tell you that. Just get a "red" one and this lets the locals know you are slow and probably not paying attention. |pokefun|

There is plenty of fat people here too! It's just not as bad and they are likely from Germany. |nahnah|

Anthony Bourdain Parts Unknown said it was the happiest place on earth.

I bet they don't have daily shootings there.

I sure hope you remembered to tell them that you're in the Founders Branch of the Hall Of Fame!

|lol|

Seriously, I hope it went well and they think you're incredibly disabled.

I bet the bill for that hearing will come a lot sooner than 30-60 days.

Just started a big indoor demolition project. Should last 5-6 weeks. I'm gonna get rich I tell you, Rich! *sigh*

I have not heard a single gunshot since living here :) Can't say that for Orlando or for Charleston.
