Come Celebrate Hockey Day In America With Me By Watching An Outdoor Game In Vancouver! (aka Sunday Thread)

Morning! |hockey|

Technically, it's Hockey Weekend Across America & there's a game on NBC at Noon, but then we're all going to focus our attention on the outdoor game in Vancouver between them & Ramster's Ottawa Senators. Canadia hijacked our weekend!! |angry|

Then, it's Oscar time |fonz|

No hockey here. Just a day of being really sore and doing more Adobe Illustrator Lesions.

Did an extra long and intense workout at the gym yesterday morning. Came home and watched a movie and then we took our bikes to a local park and biked for hours. Christy did a pretty awesome wipeout on one of the trails and lost some flesh to the gravel but nothing too bad.

There may be a muscle in my body that doesn't hurt but I've yet to find it.

Movie we watched yesterday on Netflix streaming. If you like odd, twisted artsy type scifi trillers you probably will like this movie. Personally the both of use loved it.

Good Day :)
Need to close out last month and do some work, I think.

Saw Paul Simon and Sting last night. It was really good. With a concert like that, you get no opening act or intermission as one or both of them sing. I like that. They played all the hits and some with twists like Sting singing the Art Garfunkel part of Bridge Over Troubled Water.

Fuck, it snowed again here last night so I am going out to shovel now. I know I live in Canada but this winter has been brutal. More snow than normal and exceedingly low temperatures. Even my dog doesn't want to go outside! We're going to Orlando Florida in two weeks and that keeps me going. Just got some tickets to see the Toronto Blue Jays vs The Detroit Tigers while we are down there!

Today is a quiet day with nothing planned so I would like to do a bit of catchup for get ahead of the week. I will likely watch the Oscars with my wife and daughter. I managed to see many of the best picture movies this year.

Have a great day everyone!

My sister had a family party for me on Sunday. Most of my mother's side of the family were there, except a second cousin who has a chest infection. None of my father's side of the family was there (unless you include my sister and me). Not surprised on the latter, but very disappointed that my father could not be bothered. On my mother's side there was an uncle who drove almost the whole way across the country to be there, and an aunt who I have not seen since she became an aunt (i.e. when she married an uncle), and the penultimate time I saw her I got very drunk and vomited over her! They turned up, but not my father.

An old school friend found a photo of the two of us at school and gave me a framed blow up of the picture, which was a nice present. Amongst the other stuff I was given was a movie light (800W Redhead). They got it on Amazon, and looking at Amazon, you could practically stock an entire movie company with stuff they sell!

Oh, and I found the only use for getting old. The British unit of money is the pound (~=$1.70 US). One friend had the idea of giving me one pound for every year I have lived!
