Thursday Baby!

Morning! |waves|

Aside from the update I just posted in my Woe Is Me thread, I've got 2 doc appts today, then hoping I have enough energy to stay up & work a bit |thumb

In other news, I'm just completely engulfed by this World Cup! |fonz|

No doc appointments but I do need to go pick up a script and also go by the bank to see what I can do about their newer higher service charge that I noticed this morning.

Other than that just a day of work planned and then a private, probably very boring, party this evening with some clients.

Watering my plants, making food, listening to a new band I like, oh and work.

Heading to the airport shortly for my flight back to Canada then doing a golf weekend with friends so will be offline pretty much until Monday. Don't work too hard. :)

I'm not, I can't wait for the bloody thing to end. There is an important England match on now. Perhaps we will loose, get knocked out, and everyone will shut up about it.

A couple of days ago a TV show demonstrated the bizarrely named "England Wearing Flag" that was on sale in the UK branches of Wallmart (owned by Wallmart, but not called Wallmart over here). From the back you are wearing a sort of superhero cape with the English flag on it, but from the front it is just a white cloak with a white pointy hood, so you look like you are a member of the Ku Klux Klan!

Still, with the way politics are currently going in Europe, Wallmart may actually be ahead of the curve!

Yeah, England lost. Apparently, if Italy win their next two matches we stay in the game, if they loose either game, we go home. Or as the radio presenter said "Whether we stay in or get knocked out depends on maths too complicated to explain."

Not entirely. The TV schedules were worked out months in advance, so we still got all the matches on TV. Those channels showing the football took all the good programs off to fit them in, all the other channels realised that most people would be watching the football so there was no point in putting the good stuff up against it, it would just be a waste of the good stuff, so they are showing shit and repeats (and mostly repeats of shit). So I still got weeks of rubbish TV.

I know this is an un-British thing to say, but "Fuck Football".
