Last Monday Of August - 8/25

Good Morning :)

Enjoyable weekend with the wife since I will be taking off for a month in a few days. Nothing overly exciting as I will be house/pet sitting up in San Francisco. I'll take some time to visit family but for the most part I will be working like normal, just in a different house. Have a list of chores/preparation for my trip so hopefully I do not forget anything.

Watched the new Dr and I will need to give it a couple of episodes to get use to him. Kinda wished Capaldi and Hurt's roles were reversed.

Better get to my check off list and work :D

Just finished watching the final episode of True Blood.

Getting ready to hit the gym and then maybe go for a bike ride this evening. Other than that just a normal day of work.

Good evening,

I'm watching season 1 of "Arrow" at the moment. Not really the best show ever but it's a good excuse to drag my ass to the couch from time to time.
Fired up the fireplace this evening, Summer feels like autumn at the moment. Is it really still August?

Anyway, have a good day all.

I'll trade you weather. 113 heat index today here in beautiful deep east Texas. I'll be glad when the dog days of summer are over. It's been tough this year with all the humidity.

It's not so bad down here. Try living up north where it's in the 60s and 70s in AUGUST, WTF lol

It is easier for those of us who remember the early seasons, because his face kinda looks like someone has morphed the first TV Doctor (William Hartnell) with the actor who played him in the movies in the 1960's (Peter Cushing) . Also, he is trying to play him like the first Doctor. That may be a mistake, because the first Doctor was a bit of a bastard, and a difficult character to make a modern audience love (for example - the scene where he ran off and left Clara trapped with the robots saying "no point in us both being caught", is very much in character with the first incarnation of the Doctor).

I've have seen some of the ones you are talking about and you may be right. I do not have the years of watching the Dr as you have so you have a far better grasp of the Dr's through the years. I will say I liked him better in the second episode which tells me in time I will adjust like I did with the last Dr. Now, as for the impossible girl, Clara is a timeless delight, looking good in current fashion as well as period outfits.
