Suffering And Self-sacrifice Wednesday (2015.02.18)

Well, since yesterday was Fat Tuesday then today the suffering begins (if you've drunk the Christian Kool-Aid).

We need a bit more money to finish our house so we have to increase our line of credit. That means an appraiser is coming over shortly to assess the value of our house. After that, I have to make a visit at the house construction site to figure out how to position the washer and dryer in a tight space. Next, I am on to the Toronto Auto Show. My son is working there so I said I would drop by.

Work related, I have to fix some customer invoices I worked on yesterday. The value of the Canadian dollar has eroded a lot. That means I have to up the price of some US$ services that I re-bill clients.

That's about it. Have a great day! |thumb

For Lent, I'm once again giving up Religion. Seems to be working, so why stop!

Working now, which is a good thing! Just hoping my positive attitude last longer than the usual 3 hours |pokefun||greenguy|

I'm an EXPERT on lines of credit! After all, I'm living off the ones I got 5-7 years ago when I had credit |lol|

No hangover or lines of credit here. Just another day of wanting to do something besides sit in front of a computer all day.

Got invited to watch a rather odd movie over at the community center last night. It was actually pretty entertaining.

Physical at the Doctor's office today. I should have prepared.

It looks amusing. It's come and gone from Toronto so hopefully I can catch it on DVD or On Demand.

Good morning. :)

Working as usual and trying to tweak and update older sites to hopefully increase sales and profits..... and cash flow.

Good Morning :)

Just the typical work scheduled for today and that's about it. Thankfully temps have come down to mid 60's F which I am perfectly happy with.

Oh, I wondered what G meant by "Fat Tuesday" yesterday, I had not realised we were that far into the year already. (Is Easter early this year, or am I late?)

We call it "Pancake Day", and eat pancakes to remember Christ's suffering (and no, I have no idea what the fuck pancakes have to do with "Christ's suffering", and I'm supposed to be a Christian). I'm sorry I missed it because eating pancakes on Pancake Day is one of the few religious practises I keep (I like pancakes). The other one I observe is eating toasted spicy buns on Good Friday - I like spicy buns too (this is also to commemorate Christ's suffering, and I have no idea what toasted spicy buns have to do with Christ's suffering either, but the buns do at least have pastry crosses on them).

Oh yeah, and I celebrate Christ's birthday in December by eating too much and drinking too much, but I don't think that is actually sanctioned by the Church!

Nahh, that is the Atheist Pancake Day. I am a Christian (well, sort of - I was brought up as a Christian at least), so I celebrate the Christian Pancake day!

The difference is that if you eat pancakes on your Pancake Day, you are just being a greedy pig and will go to hell for the sin of gluttony, but if you eat pancakes on my Pancake day, you are eating them for the Glory of God and will go to heaven.

Well, that is my thinking anyway.
