First Of The Month - Sunday 1st March - Anniversary of two big explosions!
 

A Pinch And A Punch To You - it is the first of the month.

Today is the anniversary of the second hydrogen bomb test on Bikini Atoll, the biggest man made explosion ever. It is also the anniversary of the day the British government announced that it would change it's currency from the old pounds, shillings, and pence method to a new metric currency without shillings, and with an easily counted hundred pennies in a pound (up to then it had been 240 pennies in a pound, and 12 in a shilling). I cannot remember the announcement as I was too young to care, but I was old enough to remember a few years later when the change actually happened. Believe me, that caused a bigger explosion than the one on Bikini Atoll ! Although it now made the maths easier (what is now a price of £1.56 would then have been a price of £1,11s,2½d) people swore it made the maths harder. Also, because there were now 100 pennies in the pound instead of 240 pennies, some people were certain everything was a lot more expensive. Me - I was young enough to find it fun. But I was a bit annoyed that my favourite comic went from 4d to 2p because it should only have been 1.7p and I felt conned!

In more recent news: I just ordered a new computer as I need a faster one for film editing, and possibly for special effects. At the moment I am working, and will probably go on working all day. Or possibly be a naughty boy and stop working to play Settlers.

Yeah, just decided. It is Sunday, as a Christian I can call it a "Day Of Rest", and give up working to play computer games!

Religion is great when you can use it as an excuse to do exactly what you want to do rather than what you should be doing, and feel good about it because it is your "religious duty". :)

Ahhh, but are you playing video games because you is lazy or are you doing it for the Glory Of God? I will be slacking off for the Glory Of God, so will go to heaven and get my reward. But if you are doing it because you are lazy, you are committing the sin of "sloth" and will go to hell where you will burn in agony for all eternity! :)

No computer work for me today.

Spent 3 hours kayaking around Wilton Manors. First time that I've used the hitch on my Vette to pull my kayak trailer. It worked really well.

Going to wash al my gear and my car after getting a bite to eat and then probably just chill and post some pics to FB.
