The "What Are You Working On?" Thread - Week Ending May 9th 2015
 

I added 4 new categories last week (way too lazy to link/spam them here) and I've been actively trying to trade links with sites that I actually like (or at least those that I can stand) I'm about 1 for 5 with the other site replying & trading, so I'm basically happy so far :)

Gonna do more of the same this week. Might start on that Massage Porn category today.

Back to designing the tube site. I temporarily stopped when a non-adult site suddenly took priority over my time due to long and boring reasons I won't post here (you would die of boredom long before I finished the first paragraph).

Looking at the project again, the cron job I set up to update the site daily appears to be working, which is good because I thought I fucked it up. But I have discovered a problem with a bug in IE that fights my site design. I'm currently searching Google for answer, with no luck (which is why I am posting here, I needed a break from swearing at Google, Microsoft, and the world in general). I'm going to have a coffee then get back to it. But if I continue to fail to find an answer via the great god Google, I'll be back to ask advice here.

Fuck it. Just got an email from a script on my server telling me that one of my main trades has not sent me any hits for a week. Looking into it, their site appears to be gone. Not a 404, they just deleted their index page, leaving an unprotected domain for anyone who wants to go through it and suck off all their content.

And while looking into that I discovered that one of the sponsors who supplies the galleries to the TGP have lost (or given up) the domain with their hosted galleries on it. So about 10% of the galleries 404.

So instead of working on my tube site, as I said I would be doing (above) I guess I'll be spending the next few hours sorting this mess out!

I did just update, but not sure what else I'll get to as I have a kinda busy offline day...

Did a members update and have it set up on the tour page so it shows that there is an update Monday thru Friday. Something I am going to continue with to see if this helps with sales or not. Thou I am getting really pissed off with NV and not sure what to do about that.

I got a bug up my ass about how the category pages look compared to the new main page design, so I did a couple of somewhat successful Search & Replace's and ended up with this:

I do have to tweak a couple things, like the top left & right above the search thingy, as well as how the daily movie is laid out, but all in all, I think it looks pretty good |thumb

After long offline weekend I'm getting back to finish some trades and then small fix on my network needs to be done.

I thought I had finished the faux tube site, except for fixing a problem with cron. However I just looked at the dates of the last three updates and they are:

I did a couple more successful Search & Replace's on the LOR category pages yesterday, but something is still "off" in my eyes, so I'll be playing around with that most of the day.

I also copied over my top left include file on the category pages with the one that's on the top right, so I'll have to fix that fuckup as well.

I'm creating a very simple theme that will be easy to modify for when using Wordpress as a CMS. I'm doing it as a child theme of a theme that had a lot of what I was already looking for in a theme. After a few days of the usual confusion learning something I think I've finally have it down how to work with child themes in Wordpress. My head is spinning....

Well, I ran out of ways to change up the layout (actually, the color scheme) on my category pages using Search & Replace, so dummy |pokefun||greenguy| is going thru all the category pages by hand & making the changes |banghead|

This will continue today, but I am about 2/3rds of the way thru |thumb

I'm also batting 1 for 4 on successful replies to my link trade requests, and traffic is up about 15% |banana|

I've made changes to secondary pages in my network and just updated the primary one for Sultry Nude Redheads that will be applied across most others as well. This will be slow, 1 or 2 a day, due to two new thumbnail sizes that if I try to to have all images and sites rethumbed at the same time it would lock up the script.

Just started a few new projects. I've been out of this biz for some years, but here I am again :)

Downloading, uploading, processing, content. Tweaking members area templates. Still playing with a new tour. Still breathing.

At last got the beta version of my faux bondage tube site up and running. It's main job will be to move surfers about and hopefully sell a few things via the videos (all videos are from sponsors, it is a faux tube, not a "proper" tube site). It is Beta because I am still testing the script, still fighting with Cron to get the auto-update to work, and have not yet decided where to place the ads (they are currently too many at the end of the vids, and I may add one to the top of the page).
