Wednesday The 13th (aka It's 45° For The Love Of Pete!)

Morning! |snowman2

The record high temps last weekend have basically been cut in half. Fucking Al Gore! |angry|

The Bitch & I HOWLED |lol|ing at the most recent episode of Silicon Valley on HBO. If you're not watching this series, start! No HBO? Order it! It is beyond hilarious! Here: watch this clip from Season 1

In other news, almost-step-son-in-law never made it over to fix the dryer, and I fell asleep watching hockey.

Have a good one!

Pretty much normal temps for this time of year and no broken dryers.

Just another mundane day of work planed along with hitting the gym this afternoon unless some new work comes in.

I'm in the last season of Damages with only a few more episodes to watch.

Good Morning :)

Just the norm around here thou my back is hurting so today it will be biz work only.

Damn Greenie, just a few days ago you were 20 degrees warmer and now 20 degrees cooler than our temps.

Don't blame Al Gore, there is no global warming as proven by Senator James Inhofe

Cleo 2015-05-13 10:51 AM

No drought, no water shortage, no global warming... the Republicans say so.

Just look at how wonderful Lake Mead is doing. :-/

Maybe when the dam no longer produces electricity and the Republicans can't use their A/Cs they will stop being idiots.

Good morning

Scary how low a lot of the water areas in the west are :(

A friend is coming from Halifax tomorrow to visit for the weekend. He arrives at 9am tomorrow. Not sure what the fuck I'm going to do to entertain him until Monday |huh| |pokefun||loony|

Nice and warm here today. Made the most of it walking with the dogs for much of the day, because the radio said that tomorrow the weather turns to shit (although they may have used more meteorological sounding terms than "turns to shit").

My friend said "put his basket by the bed and he will sleep in it good as gold". He neglected to mention that the ridgeback would bring "farty the raccoon" to bed with him and sit in the basket causing it to make farting noises while I was trying to sleep.

Or that when the ridgeback thought I was asleep he would sneak up onto the bed and lie with his head on my stomach, the raccoon still in his mouth and still making farting noises.

Even when I had taken the raccoon from him, he was still a pain. Wanted to sleep leaning against me, but he is big and strong, so for "leaning against me" read "slowly pushing me out of bed".

Then the husky joined us. It is a double bed, but two dogs take up a lot of room. By the time I got to sleep I had about eighteen inches of bed left to me!

Woke up in the middle of the night as I felt myself slowly sliding off the bed. The ridgeback had finally succeeded in pushing me out!

The Bitch & I sleep in a king size bed with two chihuahuas: She has about 18" on her side, I have 18" on mine, and the dogs have about 4' in the middle :)

A couple of years back I was looking after a chihuahua for a different friend (yes - I got two friends, that is why they call me "Mr Popular"). Rather than sleep on the bed above the blankets like any other dog I have known, the chihuahua would burrow down under the blankets and sleep leaning against me. If I threw him out he would sneak in after I had gone to sleep. It scared the hell out of me because I was sure I'd end up killing him, either by him suffocating under the heavy duvet or by me rolling over in my sleep and rolling on top of him, crushing him.

After a few days I realised that I was waking up in exactly the same position as I fell asleep. Somehow I was remaining immobile in my sleep, even unconscious I was terrified of crushing the little fellow!

Ours do the same thing in the colder months - my new one Ren shivers when you open a window :D But I too have the same fear of rolling over on the lil guys & crushing them, but they tend to angrily get out of the way if you disrupt their sleep by moving |lol|
