Sunday The 17th (aka The AC Is Back On)

Morning! |waves|

I got to watch |hockey| yesterday |banana| The team I'm rooting for lost |angry| I am a jinx |pokefun||greenguy|

I then went to lay down after around 4 PM and aside from waking up around 10 to a small dog that apparently does not like fireworks. I basically slept until 7 AM. Nothing beats 15 hours of sleep to refresh you for 3 hours before you want to go back to bed.

Other than that...|huh

Sitting here relaxing before meeting with a friend to go kayaking around Wilton Manors.

Not sure what I'm doing after that. Will probably meet up with friends for a few beers at the local pub unless something better comes along.

Good morning :)

Friend has been here since Thursday so not online much or working but am getting a few things done this morning. Pretty tame so far but good times overall. Funny how when you get older and friends visit and you BBQ then watch a movie and are in bed by midnight. When younger you're at the club blowing your entire paycheck and maybe getting home at 3am LOL

Likely going to hit a patio today or a friends place possibly since it is going to be a nice warm sunny day and Mike leaves tomorrow.

My friend said "Put the ridgeback's basket beside the bed and he will sleep in it." I gave up on this after a couple of nights because he simply started the night in the basket then, when he thought I was asleep, jumped up on the bed. However last night I tried again. The puppy saw me, guessed what was going on, and grabbed the edge of the basket and tried to stop me carrying it into the bedroom. After a tug of war which I eventually won, I put the basket beside the bed. The puppy then grabbed the dog mattress out of the basket and ran into the hall with it.

So I spent another night on the edge of the bed with the puppy and husky getting the other 90% of the bed!

|sad| Sadly I am back home now, so no more regular Puppy News.

However I will still be taking the dogs for a walk most weekdays, so if either dog does something interesting I'll post. But not being there all day means this won't be often, because they tend to spend the walks sniffing, pissing, and (in the case of the puppy) chasing a ball. It would get boring real quick if every day I posted "The puppy sniffed something, then pissed on it." So only occasional Puppy News from here on.

Those stories can be interesting. Example: On Mother's Day we went to the girl's house for lunch & brought our chihuahuas with us. My oldest step-daughter has 1 chihuahua & my youngest has 2. We were in the backyard & one peed on the picnic table leg, followed by another sniffing then peeing on the same leg, followed by a 3rd.....this happened on & off for about an hour. Every now & then, one went over, took a sniff, lifted a leg, and went about their business :)

Many decades ago I was sitting on the beach when my dog pissed on a child's bucket. The child had down's syndrome, or something similar, so just sat blankly while the dog pissed on the bucket. The mother, however, was more vocal, so I apologised profusely and washed the bucket for her in the sea. When I turned round from washing the bucked I saw the kid still sitting blankly, while my dog pissed on the kid!
