It's that time of day again... 20150605

Seems I have a new cat and bird now. I seem to be the Grim Reaper of pets. |huh

Doing Foxy's updates and then working on mainstream stuff.

Still feeling really frazzled after yesterday.
Wish I could get the image of a week old corpse out of my mind along with that smell of death.

It's kinda hard to post "Good Friday My Peeps! |waves|" after that, so I won't |couch|

I spent a looooong time getting very little accomplished yesterday, but I guess it's good in the end to figure some of this HTML stuff out on my own |thumb

I'm very distracted right now because my niece & her lil guy are watching Guardians Of The Galaxy in the living room and I really should be working......

Good afternoon.

Guardians of the galaxy? I see that movie pop up on netflix from time to time. Looked kind of silly but I just might watch it in the next few days.

I didn't think I would like it an also kept on putting it off, but really enjoyed it once I finally watched it.

You mean to tell me that you're not keeping up with the whole Marvel / Iron Man / Captain America / Thor / Avengers / Guardians Of The Galaxy thing?!?!
(real fans don't include The Hulk movies lol)

Good Day :)

Doing the usual work with some chores and an errand to run.

Fonz, Guardians Of The Galaxy was much better than I thought it would be and really like it.

I have realized that due to netflix, big screen tv's and surround sound that we rarely go to the movies any more. So by the time we watch a movie there is no hype around it. This allows us to enjoy far more movies because as long as we are entertained it's all good |thumb

Cleo - my condolences to you.

It is "kind of silly" but that is the point of movies like that. If you want serious, ignore it, but if you like silly, then this is a good movie!

I find too much hype kills a movie for me because I end up expecting too much. For example I enjoyed Men In Black 2 a lot more than Men In Black 1 because the first film had so much hype that it was never going to be as good as I was expected - disappointment was guaranteed. But everyone said the second film was not good, so I was expecting little and got more than I expected. (Plus, of course, the second film had the pug dog leaning out of the car window singing "I Will Survive").

When I was a kid, Marvel UK were re-publishing classic era Marvel stories in weekly instalments. They had just one comic but with three stories in it, published weekly (basically we got three old US comics in one volume every week, for about half the cost of one imported water damaged* US comic - happy days). Initially they led with Spiderman, but when that was given it's own comic they led with The Hulk. I never liked The Hulk, and it ruined the comic for me.

(*American comics sold in the UK in the 60s and 70s were usually "unsold returns" which were used as ballast in ships running from the US to Europe, so most were a bit water damaged.)

|dog Puppy News

Remember Farty Raccoon? Remember how I said that the puppy had eaten Farty's fart box last weekend? Remember that as well as having a fart device in his tummy he also had a squeak device in his tail? Well this week the puppy has remembered the tail squeaker, and that it is still operable.

It squeaks when he bites it, and if he chews it, it squeaks repeatedly, so he sits on the floor going "Squeak, squeak, squeak, squeeeeeeeeeak, squeak."

He finds this a particularly good game to play when I am not available to play with him. For example - in the middle of the night when I am busy being asleep. He lies beside me on the bed with Farty raccoon going "Squeak, squeak, squeak, squeeeeeeeeeak, squeak."

Oh deep joy!
