Monday June 8th (aka Anyone Else Completely Waste Their Sunday?)

Morning! |waves|

Yesterday was a complete waste, which is fine by me :) We had the family over Saturday for my step-daughter & niece's birthdays and then decided to have a fire in the backyard. It's been at least 3 years since we had one, so our fire pit had a lot of branches & whatnot in it from previous yard cleanings. There's a couple of vids on my Instagram, but this one shows it in all it's glory! Please note the rather large "weed tree" on the left that's been growing out of our firepit for the last few years |lol|

During all this, I drank a shitload of Monster energy drinks & ended up staying awake WAY past my normal bedtime, hence the complete waste of Sunday. It felt like I had a hangover! |pokefun||greenguy|

Working now...not sure how long that'll last :D

No fire pits here, way to hot in the summer here for that.

Had planned on getting back to doing adult work today but now I'm overwhelmed with mainstream stuff, not a bad thing.

Kitty is doing well. Still too scared to leave my bedroom though.

Good Morning :)

Had a nice Saturday eve with the wife and Sunday was very casual with a little work done, nap and tv watching as friends of my wife were over.

So back to doing whatevers in the hopes of more sales.

Spent Sunday boating on the river with friends and it was great.
A little groggy this morning but going to start on a new project later.

Yes., I did too, but with a good reason/excuse. The husky sprained his ankle (or I think technically - his toes, but the bit that most of us think of as a dog's ankle). When getting on a train back from the farm his rear paw went in the gap between the train and the platform while getting on the train, and he hurt it pulling it out. So I spent most of Sunday comforting him.

I have had to spend most of Monday working, because I am already about a month behind, and loosing Sunday was the last straw.

|dog Puppy News
I have a radio alarm which wakes me up with a news magazine program. I usually listen for a while before getting up. However the puppy always jumps up, gets off the bed, and heads to the kitchen as soon as it goes off. I have always assumed that this is because my first job of the day is to feed the dogs and cats, and I thought he was simply saying "You are awake now, so feed me fatso!"

However yesterday (Sunday) I discovered I was wrong. On Sunday the news magazine gets a day off, and the three hours it usually runs for are taken up by religious programs ending in a live broadcast of a mass. I normally re-tune my radio to a different channel on a Sunday, but I forgot. When the radio went off it was about ten minutes before the hourly news broadcast, so I listened, waiting for that. Then after the news and the round up of the national newspaper headlines they started broadcasting the mass, so I turned the radio off.

As soon as the radio went on the puppy disappeared as usual. But as soon as I switched it off the puppy came back and jumped back on the bed. He stayed there until I finally got up and fed him.

So, obviously, the reason he leaves me in the morning is not hunger - He just does not like talk radio!
