Wednesday June 10th (aka My Funk Subsided...I Think)

Morning! |waves|

I do feel a bit better today |thumb I even got up at 5 before The Bitch's alarm went off...and here I am still going 4 hours later |banana|

Without getting into all the details, my funk was caused by my credit card company reducing my credit limit by 1/3rd out of the blue |banghead| So now, our limit is just above the balance due, and we did have plans to use the now missing 1/3rd...

OH! Anyone else watching Aquarius on NBC? They aired 2 episodes a couple weeks ago, then put the entire season on demand (and they still air the next/new episodes each week) This looks like the 1st time a major network put a series on demand in this manner & I can see this becoming the norm, because YOU CAN'T FUCKING FAST FORWARD THRU THE COMMERCIALS!!! There's less commercials than if you watched it live (52 minutes vs 60) and, since we do actually like the show, The Bitch & I just sit there while the commercials are on, complaining about something we can't avoid.

I think we have 5 episodes left, so those will be watched tonight & tomorrow, since Orange Is The New Black comes back to Netflix on Friday!!! |banana||bananna||banana|

Training to wake up...

My new kitty seems to have run away. :(
I had been keeping him locked in my bedroom but the night before last I fell asleep with the door open and he must have found the cat door and gotten out. He has a tag with my phone number so I'm going that he either comes home or someone finds him and calls me.

Other than that just a day of getting back to do adult work.

Good morning. Just another day here of work work work. :)

Cleo, too bad. Hopefully the kitty finds his way back. Maybe check your friend's house, could be there trying/waiting to get in.

I made a post yesterday on our neighborhood board so my neighbors will be on the lookout for him. :)

Good afternoon,

Doing some demolition on the neighbour-across-the-street's house. So when I'm thirsty or hungry I just go to my own kitchen and grab some stuff. Very easy :)
The weather is good here the last couple of days. Friday will be a 30°C/86°F again just like last week .Too bad they're predicting thunderstorms in the evening, again, just like last week :)

Have a good one all and I hope the kitty finds it's way back to your place Cleo.

Good Morning :)

Well we just purchased windows for the home last night, can't believe I let my wife talk me into this. Not all of them as the total cost was 45K so we are only doing a third of them at this time. Couple of busted beyond repair so we could not open and changing a couple of solid windows to double hungs allowing us more air circulation. Looks like there goes any real vacation for this year as there is far more work to be done on this old POS. Still have not taken care of A/C either, F me.

Cleo, really hope your kitty shows up!

One of the credit card companies I use is currently trying to take me to court (they have served papers, I have submitted my defence, and the way British law works is that they are currently about half way through a twenty eight day period while they have to consider my defence and decide if they want to go through with the case). The reason is that they think I should pay them back the money I owe them. Apparently, when you spend money on a credit card you actually have to give them back the money you spent. Who knew? |huh

The reason I stopped paying is that they broke the law. I basically said "Undo what you did that was illegal, and write me a nice letter of apology, or I won't give you your money back." They called my bluff and refused. Then they discovered I was not bluffing! I'm thinking (hoping) that they will not follow through with the case because win or loose, it is likely that the fact that they broke the law will become public knowledge, which will cost them more in bad publicity than they would win, plus they may get fined. Also, I have always said (and am still saying) "If you undo what you did, I'll pay you." so I doubt they will win the case if they do proceed.

|dog Puppy News
The puppy has this game. He will bring over one of his many toys (most often it will be Farty Raccoon, as this appears to be his favourite toy) and tease me with it. He will come up to me with the toy in his mouth and try to get me to attempt to take it from him. If this does not work he will drop it on the floor in front of me as though offering it to me. Then, when I reach down to pick it up, he will snatch it away at the last minute. If I still don't go for it, he will move increasingly further and further away from it giving me a "better chance" at getting to it, but will always run in and grab it back at the last moment. On the rare occasions that I win, he will immediately grab one end of the toy and try to pull it back (he is a strong dog, he is going to win any tug of war with a human).

Today he decided he wanted to take Farty Raccoon walkies with him. He came to the door, ready for his lead and harness, with Farty in his mouth. He refused to drop the raccoon, and when I tried to take it away from him he thought I was playing the game. So it took a long while and a lot of effort before I got the damn thing away from the puppy.

I am not as fit as I used to be, so he is lucky I had enough energy left after that to actually take him walkies!
