Wednesday June 17th (aka I Sweat The Bed)
Morning! |waves|
Woke up a little after 4 to piss & realized my night sweats were raging last night. I looked it up & it's a thing: Sweat The Bed (Urban Dictionary is the poor man's Wiki) So I've been up working since then, but this ain't gonna last too long. Watched Chappie yesterday & I really did like it. It was made by the same guy that did District 9 (which I also really liked) Then The Bitch & I flipped a coin for our next binge watching spree & Sense 8 lost to True Detective on HBO, so we started watching the 1st season. Interesting, but slow in a way that's ok because there seems to be a lot of foreshadowing. ...and I put some crap on eBay |thumb |
I thought Chappie was ok, but I did fast forward through the final fight scene.
Later today will be day three of trying to teach someone how to edit the content of this online magazine site that I built for someone. Work, grocery shopping, sweep and dust the house, more Wordpress training, and will then probably join friends at the neighborhood pub. |
Good morning all
Usual day planned for me, work, uploading, adding content to MAs, etc. Coffee is on :) |
Good Morning :)
My voice has come half way back which is nice. Spending the day at D-land yesterday chatting all day did not help recovery but at least after that it wasn't lost again. And taste buds seem to have returned as well :) Trying to take it easy today by doing work and watching tv as the visiting family will be doing stuff on their own and no need for me to join them :D |
Day of mistakes for me, some good, some bad. Coming home I stopped to get some steak for my meal. I'm still supposed to be loosing weight (doctor told me that if I loose enough I may win a second hand kidney as a prize). So regretfully I decided on a quarter pound steak. I looked at the price per pound, divided it by four. The butcher offered me a piece that was slightly over the price I said, I worked it out to be a little under five ounces, which was still OK. Five minutes later I remembered, he does not price his steak in pounds, he prices it in kilogrammes. I'd bought a piece of steak that was a little over quarter of a kilogramme, which is about half a pound. The idiot Ecchi thinks he is still living in the 1970s. I'd forgotten that in Britain we switched over into the metric system SEVERAL DECADES AGO!
Senile old fool! I guess I'm going to have to eat it. I mean, I only wanted a quarter pound, so it's not like I'm breaking my diet deliberately. And it would be a shame to waste it! Second act of stupidity did not have such a pleasant outcome: I have been out all day. When I got in, the room was really hot. It has been a hot day, but not that hot. Then I remembered that the last thing I did before leaving was switch off the heating. But it had been a hot morning too, so I had not switched the heating on. When I thought I had been switching it off, I had actually been switching it on! Then I left it on all day, burning up electricity at 3 KW/H, making an empty apartment hot. I seriously need a new, slightly younger, brain. Quote:
This is my body's way of waking me up and telling me that if I don't eat something soon I'll pass out. Since I was asleep at the time, passing out would have not been a problem! To make it doubly annoying: Once I have struggled to the bathroom, then struggled to the kitchen, eaten quite a bit of stuff, drunk over a pint of water (low blood sugar also give me a raging thirst) and finally got back to bed, I can usually not get back to sleep. At that point, passing out from low blood sugar would be a good thing! |
|waves|Hi board.
Mostly offline work for me for the past six months or so and I'm not sure if I'll do anything on-line any time soon. This coming Saturday I'm starting my first vacation in three years and I'm really excited. It'll be small 3 week trip through Europe with my lovely better half and our little daughter. |bananna| |
