Aside from updating, I did a lot of grunt work yesterday, downloading lists & whatnot. I also finally found a dating program that I wanted to try & so far, it's producing |thumb

Still trying to get the ****ing affiliate site live. Got FTP working, but now the bloody thing is refusing to acknowledge SSI calls, and the hosting company has stopped answering my calls!

Gonna be working on this new site for some time I think. Lots to watermark then upload then add via the CMS. Tour to be done, waiting on Zuzana's for that once I get the quote. The usual overall :)

Today we had a matsuri, a festival in my town.

Save me some reading time: Min payout, commission amount, etc. :D

Minimum payout: $25
Commission on my book: 35% however note:
1) I am considering raising that amount.
2) If you advertise books other than mine the author chooses the percentage so it may be different. Most pay less, a few pay more.

I'm not sure what "etc." you want, all I can think of is:

Promotional tools (on my book, others do not supply as much):
Various size banners
Text ads
Full page ads
Combined text and graphic ads
SmashWords widget (hosted script thingy)
Some (not a lot) photos
Coming next week: re publishable articles, story extracts, interview, etc - ideal for blog traffic and content.

Honesty check:
Payment is made by SmashWords not by me, so I could not shave even if I wanted to.

P.S. The minimum payment is from SmashWords, so if you are selling other books that they distribute as well as mine, the minimum is for all sales combined, not just sales of my book.

Been spamming up my pages with dating site ads. Remember when I asked if anyone could recommend any? Well, since then, I found a program on my own, JAI-LING reminded me of one, and this morning I got a msg from another existing sponsor they they have added some |thumb

Back at working on the press release site for my book. This should have been done before the affiliate site, but I stopped half way through because I decided it would be a good idea to have the affiliate site up and running first so that I could put a link to it from the press site, to encourage bloggers who use the press site for content to also sign up as affiliates.

Just posted about the affiliate site on FaceBook and Twitter. I guess I should have done that Sunday when the site went live, but I forgot.

I did finally put some of my old coins up on eBay last week & oddly enough, they SOLD! |banana| There were no bids until yesterday & then I had 5 in the last few hours. So, I decided to put some more of my old coins up there in "collections". If you're interested, they're on my eBay page |thumb

I do have some more to put up after I guestimate their value, but 1st, it's link check time |scared|

That's been my experience as well, that the few serious ones out there wait until the last few hours, sometimes even the last few minutes, and then all hell breaks loose. Any bids I've seen that come in at the start or mid-way through are often just newbs and thow-aways of people just seeing if they can "get it for that".

As far as what I'm doing this week, seeing as I just finished up a week-long writing order (for the english version of a large Asian pay network no less) I'm taking a few days off to get some yard work done. Maybe drink a beer, who knows.

Must get a few summer days in before |football| season starts. And... wait, where's the hockey emoji at?
