Sunday The 16th (aka 44 Years Old & Still Get Growing Pains?)

Morning! |waves|

Had a rough time sleeping last night. Aside from the usual leg spasms, my right leg from my knee to my ankle* felt like I was having "growing pains". I used to get them really bad when I was a kid, but mostly in my knees - and they are NOT fun. This pain was like that. I've felt it before in my legs, but never this intense :( So when I woke up around 5:30 & noticed The Bitch was wide awake for no reason, we decided to get up |crazy|
* Yes, I know it's the calf area...but this pain was more inside, if that makes sense.

She's cleaning the house now, then we need to do some grocery shopping - just call me Coupon Boy!!

Plus, her, along with my oldest step-daughter & the long lost Emerald are flying out to Seattle on Saturday to visit friends & family for a week, so I'm sure she need to go shopping for something that's absolutely necessary for the trip |couch|

Other than that, I've got nada!

No growing pains but I do live with pain.

Going kayaking later today and then going to a vegetarian Meetup dinner this evening.

Good Morning :)

Wife and I went up in a vintage biplane over Sonoma and San Francisco yesterday. Another bucket list item checked off. I'm really not much on flying but that was quite enjoyable, like cruising the coast in a convertible :D

Today is more of a lazy do nothing day but realized last night the wife left her phone at a restaurant, which according to location finder is still there, so we will head there for brunch and phone recovery.

Good day. Been up since 7am working for the most part but gonna get offline and enjoy some weather out there and possibly a bit of watching golf after that.

I want meat.

Seriously.

I Waaaaaaaaant Meeeeeeeeat.........

This "low fat vegetarian weekend" is a pain in the ass!

Stupid thing is: I often have a vegetarian meal for a change and quite like it. But when I eat them to cut down on fat/cholesterol it feels like a punishment and I seriously miss the meat part of the meal!

Remember I said I would probably ruin the "just add water and boil" bolognese? Well I managed it! I either put in too little water or boiled too long. Either way, I burnt it.

Hew bad a chef can you get? Simple instructions, Pour the content of the packet into a pan of water. Bring to the boil. Simmer for 15 minutes. Then serve.

And I managed to burn it!

Idiot!

I guess this is God's way of telling me that he wants me to eat meat.

Ahh well, can't go against God I suppose!

God does not want you to eat his creatures. If you crave something savoury try a Bovril and tomatoe sandwich!

Recipe changes
In November 2004, the manufacturers, Unilever, announced that the composition of Bovril was being changed from beef extract to a yeast extract, claiming it was to make the product suitable for vegetarians and vegans; at that time, fear of bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE) may have been a factor.

Don't believe everything you read on Wikipedia! Bovril used to be 100% beef extract, it is now a mix of yeast extract and beef extract, but it is not beef free!

No matter what it is made out of it still looks like something that comes out of an animal's ass.

Just in time for holiday cookie season, we’ve discovered that the vanilla flavoring in your baked goods and candy could come from the anal excretions of beavers.

JustRobert 2015-08-18 10:45 AM

You would think (if you're childish like me) the flavor being used from anal excretions should be chocolate, the more you know |crazy|
