Tuesday August 18th (aka Another Early Wake)

Morning! |waves|

Up early as The Bitch had to start at 8 today due to some construction in the office during her normal shift.

Working now, but I think I see a |zzzzzzzzz peering at me from around the corner...

No construction here today.

I have an Air BnB guest arriving this afternoon and then playing laser tag this evening.

Other than that just a day of work planned.

Good Morning :)

Back in the saddle again, sorta speak. Had a great vacation up in the bay area. I actually spent time relaxing thou I did do a very small bit of work, because it's an addiction, here and there.

Now to spend a day or two on biz crap and then back to the never ending work on the pos house.

Good day.

Also up early today tackling as much as I can before I take the next 5 days off to head down east to visit my parents, family and friends. Have a good week/weekend I'm gone. :)

Why does everyone want money? Suddenly every company on the planet is sending me bills and demanding payment! I'm not here, gone away, don't know when I'll be back. Please leave your bills under the doormat and I'll get around to them sometime....maybee!

And I got to get ready for that building inspection next week - should at least try not to look like a slob.

In other news:

|dog Puppy News

The puppy got the runny poops again. He is back on "no more nails" medicine. But since his owners are not away I don't have to force it down him. The runny poops did produce one good result:

It has been obvious for some time that the puppy is trying to buck up the courage to try swimming. As he lives on the bank of the River Thames (literally on the bank, at high tide the water comes up around the sides of the building). Also close to London's canals, and near to some old shipping basins (now used for fishing and a sailing/kayaking/canoing school), so most of our walks are on the waters edge. I am terrified that I'll turn round one day and see the end of the lead disappearing down to the bottom of the canal (still not forgotten the day, many years ago, when I had to jump in to rescue the husky).

However as I have often mentioned he is a coward, he has not yet jumped in. He tends to stand on the edge and look at me with a "you go in first, and if it looks safe, I'll follow" look on his face.

Today, trying to pick up his runny poop (a job that really needed a sponge not a bag) I got it all over my hand. so I went down to the edge of the river to wash my hands in the water. The Thames is wide enough at that point to act like a sea, and on windy days there are waves. I nearly got caught by one, and as I was not wearing waterproof shoes I turned and ran back up the shore.

The Puppy was standing a little behind and beside me. He saw the wave coming and me turn and run from it and decided I was running because it was attacking. He was straight up the steps and as far from the river as the lead would allow.

Now that he thinks that large bodies of water sometimes turn and attack, so he won't go anywhere near the water, which is a good thing.
