NETVERIFIER November 10 Payday
Anyone received ACH/payneer for netverifier's november 10th payday yet? I tried to email Rich but none of the support emails work. He owes me 1674 dollars.
|
I haven't rec'd a payment since August. Stats have been inaccessible for over a year. Stick a fork in it, cuz it's done.
|
Kind of hard to stick a fork in it when he owes me 1674 dollars :-(

I spoke with Rich at the end of last pay period for him to figure out how much I had coming on November 10th. I asked him so I could plan out my budget. He "told" he figured "around" $1674 since I have 178 members. That was Nov 2nd though I got that message. I havent heard from him since.

I am owed 3 checks from them from what I can tell (sent 3 emails with no response) and low and behold 1 showed up today (postmarked on 11-9) so maybe yours is still to come. Hell maybe my other 2 will show up but I doubt it. I wish you luck in getting your money. |
Thanks Robert. Not sure why we can't be paid. I mean we do earn it. It's not his money to keep it is ours!!
|
On top of that, with 178 members I make Rich alot of money. He keeps it, spends it on his life, while I sit here needing that money (that is mine) for myself.
But that's ok, I am going to give him a few more days to pay me. I have an email list of around 75 percent of my members. If I dont get paid, then I will email them and tell them to cancel immediately. I will also take down my website and make it just one page site informing everyone else to cancel as well. I'm tired of working and spending my time promoting my website just so Rich can pocket 100 percent of my earnings. And yah Toby those rebill stats have been down for over a year. We all know the entire reason he took those stats down was so he could just pay everyone what he wanted and pocket what he wanted for himself instead of being fair. Smoke and mirrors, no transparency. Now the message boards have been down for like over a month b/c he doesnt want us all talking to each other. Doesnt this man have a conscience? |

Whether this is because running NV cost more than he budgeted for, and is loosing money, or whether it is because he has spent it on his own personal expenses, is a question no one can answer at the moment(although it is kinda an important question, because it is basically "Is he just a shit businessman or is he a crook?"). However I think now is the time that NV webmasters have to decide if they are going to shrug their shoulders and say "Ah well I've lost all that money, but I'll be more careful next time." Or are going to get together and start class action against NV. I guess it depends on how much you are all owed, and how much you need the money. But from the number of threads and posts I have seen about NV over the past few months (both here and elsewhere), I think it is time to realise that NV is dead and you are not going to get your money without legal action. |
I guarantee he is taking our money for his own personal expenses b/c netverifier's layout hasnt changed in over a decade. When we all signed up to be webmasters with netverifier we were all promised (and it still says on the webmaster signup/rules page) that we were to be paid a certain percentage commission on the 10th and 25th of each month. I didnt signup to have my commission and earnings go to pay Rich's personal expenses or to sink into the netverifier website (which isnt happening). And yes, he owes me so much money, I am more than willing to take him to court.
Either was Rich isnt a very good businessman. When he loses my sales each period plus rebills from 178 members (each at 22 bucks) then that's his loss. Karma baby |
webguy,
I have been dwindling down my members the past year, not really promoting and only slightly updating 1 site because I had a feeling about this. At this moment I am turning all tour pages into a cross selling page. Members area are still up but those will be pulled as soon as tour pages are finished. I would suggest you do the same or start your own program. Since you have a good percentage of member emails you can contact them once your program is in place. This is no defense for Rich and his BS but the stats issue started up just after Zombaio billing company had issue and I know that for sure ( a board member use to work there) told me that was the billing company. So initially there might have been a true issue but a year later, I doubt it. It truly is a shame because I liked NV, member retention was fantastic. |
A thought has crossed my mind. I don't know much about NV, but two things I do know are:
When things go wrong people will hang on forever hoping something will go right. I used to sell sites with hosting packages. I had plenty of people who bought a site, signed up to pay the hosting each month via PayPal, then did bugger all, expecting Google to make them rich. They ended up with less than ten hits a month, some got no traffic at all - ever, but they continued to pay the hosting every month. Over ten years later I still have clients paying for hosting on sites that they have never made a single cent out of. I am still making money out of them because they either cannot live with admitting failure or cannot be arsed to cancel the small monthly payment they pay via PayPal. I also know (from bitter experience) that when things go wrong with your billing agent it is soul destroying. It makes you want to give up the business, stop working and go and live the rest of your life in a cave. Perhaps the NV guy got that way when they had billing problems and decided to retire. Knowing how people behave (as mentioned in my first point), perhaps he decided he could finance his retirement simply by giving up NV but not telling anyone. Those that eventually got the message and closed down would have closed down anyway if he had announced his closure, so he looses nothing. But even if you post on every board that he is a crook, many webmasters will still hang on (look how many idiots still use GoDaddy even though hardly a month goes by without someone posting somewhere about their dishonest practises), so he will always have enough sites for a few members to pay each month. And if he stops paying the webmasters, that should be more than enough to live on! Because, seriously, is anyone going to actually bother suing him? |
Considering I have in writing from Rich that he owes me money, yep i would sue him in a heartbeat. He is based out of Tampa. I live in Jacksonvill i am not that far away from him and would sue him in a second for the principle of the thing. Or who knows maybe i will just get in my car take a drive down and collect my cash in person.

When you find out that there is about a 20% chance you will end up winning, and getting all your money back (including costs). A 40% chance you will win, but not get all your costs back so be thousands or tens of thousands out of pocket. And about a 40% chance you will loose so bad that you will loose everything you own and be declared bankrupt? Those percentages are off the top of my head, the real ones will be different. But your lawyer will tell you something like that with similarly horrifying odds. So, after he has told you all this, and you know that you are most likely to loose a lot of money by suing, will you still go ahead and sue? |
Ok, then a 3 hr drive down from Jacksonville to Tampa where Rich lives might be more cost effective. I think a 3 hr drive to collect 1600 bucks is worth it. That's the plan.

so what are we going to do with our NetV sites?
any suggestions ...? |

You can try SexKey or AdultEmpire Pushed SK on one bigger site and only a few sales in 6 weeks and with no rebills that seems absolutely pointless to me but you may fair better. Thou I did receive a check from them which beats NV at this point. Don't quite trust AE for some reason and don't like uploading my content onto Russian servers even if it's non exclusive. I've had a couple of sales on some of their other sites but still not enough to receive payment so not sure how they are with that. Cross selling on the tour pages have produced a few sales and then there is always the ccbill/epoch option which I can't make up my mind about. |
Damn, those options arent great ...
|
I still think that the best option is for you to club together, get a CCBill or similar account, and set up your own AVS between you.

SexKey use CCBill. However CCBill are not the only show in town, I've no doubt you will find one. Failing that, get together and form one company, agree a split based on quantity of sites, and apply as one entity.

Just in case anyone cares, I actually received another check yesterday. I can only assume it's from the last period but I still believe checks are missing and can't get a response. Plus with no visibility on rebills who knows what is really owed or not.
Also saw that he fixed the security certificate to NV |
