Tuesday 15th December (aka Nice To See You - I'll Say That Now While I Still Can!)

My eyesight has got so God damn bad that I have had to order a "large key, bold character, high contrast" keyboard for the hard of seeing! Apart from the embarrassment of having to switch to a "disabled person's" keyboard, the bold characters and "high contrast background" make it look like a child's keyboard!

Next, I suppose, I'll be buying an extra large monitor so I can read that!

They do sell these things called glasses. :D

Work, house cleaning more work, plus dealing with the never ending drama of my mentally ill ex that won't let go.

Tried that. The problem is that the same prescription does not work on both keyboard and monitor. So I have to keep putting them on to see the keyboard, then taking them off to see the screen, which is bloody infuriating.

Plus glasses do not help with my main problem, which is that blood vessels in my eyes are giving up, so what I see is slowly getting darker, and I'm loosing contrast.

In short - my eyes are fucked!

No eye problems here, but I haven't been able to use my index fingers to type since my back/neck problems, so that's a lot of fun |banghead|

I'm still in a bit of a funk. I blame |santa2

Some good movies out on Amazon PPV today:
Ted 2
Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation
Fantastic Four
Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials

Use those links to watch them so I can offset the cost of me watching all 4 :D

Good morning, no pretty keyboards here :D

Usual day planned, lots of work and hopefully get a response from a designer on a new tour I want to get working on. Coffee is one |coffee

I just ordered a necklace/pendant from an online jeweller for my Sister's Christmas present, and after ordering got a message "Is this a gift for a special occasion? If so tell us what the occasion is, and we will remind you each year so you don't forget."

Well I know the best jewellers are supposed to be Jewish, but you'd think that maybe they would have heard rumours of this "special occasion" that Christians call "Christmas"!!!!!!!

Good Morning :)

Doing some biz work, then a few hours on the house and back to biz work for the rest of the day plus there is a debate tonight. Should be interesting with the recent attacks plus LA school district shut down school today due to a credible possibility of a terrorist attack, supposedly. People are |crazy|

Might as well buy a big flat screen tv that you can use as a monitor too.

Don't need a big screen TV. I got a projection TV, so can project a picture as big as a small movie screen.

For me, every episode of Dr Who is "Dr Who - The Motion Picture". :)

Can't fix the latter, but as to the first you should consider bifocals.
I have two prescriptions, one is for progressive bifocals for distance and reading which is my normal every day prescription...but I also have computer bifocals for the 24-30 inch distance computer monitors and the 12-16 inch distance keyboard as half my day is watching trading charts on computer screens :)

Have been considering bifocals. I tried using my father's bifocals as an experiment, and did not really like them. However my father's glasses are a different prescription, so you would not expect them to work well. Even so, trying to remember which part to look through was a pain I may never get used to, and I am reluctant to spend all that money on something I may end up not using, especially as my income is about to drop significantly.

Am still considering them, but I'll have to have some extra disposable income before I risk the rent on them, and I don't see that happening anytime soon.

Can you project your computer? Most have HDMI.

Oh yes, my DVD/Blu Ray player is my computer, so that is a must!

Stupidly though, I don't yet have the right cable to connect my TV to the projector. That is not a problem, because in Britain all TV shows (or at least all those that I watch) are released on the TV companies' websites to watch online as soon as they have been broadcast. So it just means that I don't get to start watching until after everyone else has seen the show. But I can wait an hour!
