Thursday January 7th (aka It's Finally Root Canal Part II Day)

Morning! |waves|

Up early as I'm off to the dentist in about an hour to finally have the 2nd part of this root canal done on my tooth, seeing as I had to cancel the last 2 appointments due to my horrendous health |pokefun||greenguy|

Finished watching Amadeus yesterday. It was good. What shocked me the most was that he was buried in a mass grave - very sad.

Other than that...

No root canals here, but I do live in a neighborhood full of canals.

Getting ready to do my morning work after being woken up way too early by a giant moth that my cat brought in to play with. Put the moth back outside and now getting ready to work.

Depending on the weather I'm planning on trying to play tennis this evening.

Good Morning :)

It was raining when I got up but I see blue skies out my office window right now so we might get a break from the wet stuff for a little bit but more is expected to come in.

Depending on when I get done with my morning routine, running late today, may venture out to pick up some supplies to create channels to divert rain running off a couple of roofs where hanging gutters is out of the question.

Anyways, back to the grind.

Today is my day for getting round to stuff it has taken me years to do.

About thirty years ago I read The Berlin Stories (Think "Cabaret" - the musical was based on one of the stories). They contain a heavily fictionalised account of the author's life in Berlin, and having read them I thought it was a shame he did not write a true autobiography, as that would be more interesting.

What I did not know was that about ten years earlier he had written his autobiography which included a true account of his time in Berlin. I did not find this out until just over 25 years later, and only then thanks to Dr Who (the actor playing the Doctor also stared in a film version of the book and it was mentioned on a Dr Who website). I decided to buy the book. And today I just ordered a copy, nearly five years after first deciding to buy a copy.

That is me - never put off 'till tomorrow what you can leave for a few years!
