cyberwurx & mySQL
Okay...probably not the MOST appropriate place to ask this question, but I always get my questions answered here! :)
I'm pulling my hair out trying to do the relatively simple tast of installing a forum on cyberwurx. Does anyone know how to create mySQL databases on this host? I've just had a dating script installed on the same host. Since I need another database, I'm trying to set it up, but just cant figure out how. With my other hosts, it's a pretty simple process. I just dont see where to do it here. Anyone know? Thanks in advance! :) |
All the hosts that I have ever had I used their control panel.
You could try http://www.phpmyadmin.net/home_page Or telnet in and type "man mysql" |

Bug their tech support to set you up a MySQL account then.

as far as I remember at Cyberwurx you have to put in a work order to get a new DB created..

Is it a dedicated box? mine has cpanel that can do that. http://www.mydomain.com/cpanel is how i get to mine on cyberwurx
|hello| |
Yeah you request a work order at Cyberwurx and they are really quick to do it for you. I have been bugging them for quite some time to give us cpanel.. no luck thus far. BUT I have no down time and they get anything I ask done ASAP.

i think i just filled out a ticket/work order for that. virtual host with them though.

http://customer.cyberwurx.com and fill in the work request and one of the guys will set it up for you. You might ask them to install phpMyAdmin for you as well so you can manage your databases through the web. phpMyAdmin allows them to specify specific databases you can have access to.
