Wednesday October 25th (aka National Greasy Food Day)
Morning! |waves|
As much as I'd like to partake in National Greasy Food Day, I don't think my stomach could handle it |sars| I still feel like shit, so I'll be medicating myself in order to get some work done. I did forget to mention yesterday that while driving to dinner on Sunday, The Bitch & I saw a guy on a bike get hit by a car |scared| I missed it because I was daydreaming out the window, but she said the car pulled out in front of him & the guy went flying into the air & landed on his head. So she got out of the car & I called 911. The guy was up & moving around shortly after (he did have a helmet on) and, as soon as the cops got there, they put the driver in cuffs & hauled him off. I don't know if he admitted to being under the influence of something or they saw something in his car...but I'm pretty sure the guy on the bike will be ok |thumb Working now, picking up the ASSIL at 1, then I have the feeling I'll be on the couch watching PPV movies :) |
Despite yesterday's rains, I did manage to eek out some work on the plumbing of my tiny home. It will be nice to get the water running, even if it all will drain on the ground for now.
One of my main concerns, other than the fact that this trailer is most likely completely unsafe to tow |loony|, is whether or not I will be able to keep my PC running off the inverter. I now have four big batteries in my battery bank, but this PC, for whatever reason, seems to have a heavy draw. I will find it annoying if I have to boot it up each time I sit down to work. |banghead| The Sun is trying to show through the clouds, so maybe today will be better than fucking yesterday. |thumb |
Morning. |coffee
No crashes or plumbing projects here. It's 9C (48F) here and going up to a high of 12C (54F). I'm loving it! The leaves (and pollen) are dying. Hurray! Because I felt crappy for so long, I am behind in every aspect of my life. I did promise myself when I felt better, I would try to eat better and exercise so I am off to the elliptical for at least 30 minutes. I'll be at my desk for the rest of the day. Later my wife and I are going to friends for dinner and to watch the World Series game. Have a good one! |thumb |
Good Morning :)
Well yesterday was a bust. Went in for chemo but they needed to reschedule due to elevated liver panel. Rescheduled for next week but then the doctor called and we are going to try again on Friday. We think it had something to do with the herbal tea she was drinking the day before lab work. So no more tea for her. For those watching the World Series you will know we are having one helluva a heatwave. According to my thermostat it was 108F here at my house yesterday and more of the same today. Thankfully we have AC :D Going to do some grunt work and watch some more Big Mouth on netflix |

EEEKS!! 108 is just plain nasty!! I don't miss those days in SoCal or Texas one little bit. We got our first real snowfall of the season last night. It is sp gorgeous today. We are supposed to get even more show today. I would say we got a good 4 inches of the white stuff. We did the snow tires yesterday and got groceries for the next few days so we are nice and cozy in our house. Maybe I can actually get some work done today? Most of the distractions yesterday should be gone today -- the group I work with has a new quilt started for an RCMP officer who lost his battle with PTSD last month the hard way. Sad, but his parents are using his suicide to call attention to the need for treatment for First Responders.
