Settings help
I am just wondering what the norm is with settings.
800x600 1024x768 if your comp is set 1024x768 how do you design with the people inmind that use 800x600? |
Just put everything into a table that is 700 or less pixels wide.
|
By limiting the area you use to 700 pixels wide.
|
Ok this may sound really stupid.
But if you change the table to 700 or less and want to keep the font or close to the same size without having to goto an "Arial size="2"/Arial 8pt. how is that done ?!!! |
I'm at 1280x960 - I switched to 800x600 the other day for about 10 seconds & it scared the shit out of me - LOL
I usually build at 700-750 wide & then just adjust the font so that it fits when viewing the page using the "medium" settings on my browser (probably default for most people) |
Since I'm a poor girl I only have a 9" monitor but like to set my resolution to 1920x1080 so I like it when someone uses really big fonts.

Surf/work at 1280x1024
Review at 1024x768 Build for 800x600 DD |
I like reviewing at a large resolution - gives me more reasons to decline sites :D
|
I'm at 1024x768 but I am getting older. Greenies monitors drove me crazy this weekend :)

if I already had a blog up that was built at 1024
and now I want to put it in a table of 700... will that cause a corruption of the existing pages integrity ?? it's a blog on the blogger.com service with archives etc.. does anyone know how to require the template setting for a viewing to be 800x600 ?? it that change is made - does it automatically FIX the display of all the archived pages as well ?? (or will those archived pages need to each be manually slapped into a table ?? ) where might I find the html for the table that I should use to slap the existing pages into... and to use from now on when building ?? (an invisible table) thanks.... ~Bell |
Text should not really be effected by the width of the table - it just wraps down to the next line.
Now, if you put an image that 800 wide in a 700 wide table, that image would stretch the table. |
thanks for the help greenie...

Yes,
Thank you Cleo, dd, gg, and Jim :) |
oops sorry forgot Surfn
thanks as well :) |
I was able to find a page on the net as an example of a table under 700 pixels...
here: http://www.earthsite.org/SeasonOfPeace03.htm I see that the color code of the table causes it to be white... what color code or command would I use to make the border be invisible to the naked eye ?? thanks... ~Bell |potleaf|. . . . |potleaf|. . . . |potleaf|. . . . |potleaf|. . . . |potleaf|. . . . |potleaf| did you see GOOGLE's new logo (for today) for Earth Day - April 22, 2004 - - - Happy Earth Day to everyone - - - |potleaf|. . . . |potleaf|. . . . |potleaf|. . . . |potleaf|. . . . |potleaf|. . . . |potleaf| |
