Payment processors for uk site?

I'm hoping someone can recommend the best/aapropriate processor to use.

I'll be accepting small payment amounts (typically 10 bucks). I'm happy with either recurring or non-recurring billing. And I could do with something geared towards UK traffic (switch, solo, electron, etc).

I've looked at a number of processors and I really only need something simple. I don't want the headache of having to fax off shitloads of documents and forms. I also dont want to pay a few hundred bucks to setup.

I've looked at nochex, but their problem : the surfer has to jump hoops if he/she doesnt already have an account. Fastpay might be okay, but other than "obscenities", their TOS make no reference to adult sites (I'm waiting for them to ring me to clarify if adult sites are allowed). Quite honestly, I wish I could use pay pal - they work perfectly with mainstream site integration.

Anyways! Any help/info/advice is more than appreciated, as always.

Hi Kristian,

Not sure if your aware, but with NoChex you can acutally take payments without the surfer being a member of nochex and hence having to jump hoops:) Its todo with your account status, once you become verified or premier or something similair, you can take payments from non nochex members:)

Click here for a shop cart example:)

Nope, I didn't know that! I thought surfers were required to have a nochex account. I just remember buying from a vendor about 18 months ago and it was a hassle having to join nochex. I'll definitely look into using them however now.

Is nochex yours? Staff? Use it?

But i do use them on quite a few paysites and im more than happy with them:) Also, they will be accepting CC's in a few months which should be a great addition:)

Sounds good to me. I'm heading over to check it out. Thanks a lot for the info - you've actually made my day big time (I was pulling my hair out like a bastard last night!)

UK site billing..

I just saw your post..

I use http://www.globalcharge.com they take Switch etc. as well as Visa/MC.

They pay 35 days after the end of a month directly in to your UK bank acct. Here's their phone # 020 7517 8800 I speak to Simon Coates.. They work like CCBill and set up all the .htaccess for you as well, plus I use their SMS for a £2 x 30 minute trial which converts now and again and their dialer :)
