Wow, this month is moving fast!

I stopped taking my over the counter allergy medication to see what would happen and I think that is screwing me up. I am all stuffed up today for some reason. Time to pop a pill.

It's a non-eventful day here. I am supposed to help my daughter do some chores today but she is often a no-show so I'll see if that happens. Other than that, I am a chili making machine for an event I am help with on the weekend.

When I lived in the states, I had to take allergy meds all the time - or thought I had to. Moving to Finland was a whole eye-opener. Yes, I live out in the country, but I have all the same allergens around me plus some I never experienced like freshly harvested barley. The big difference? Those over the counter allergy pills we can get at any store are prescription only here. I thought I would die my first year. I even had my mom bring me a big bottle of Benedryl when she visited the summer after I moved. By the end of my first full year here I didn't need them anymore. Yes, you will feel crappy for the first bit but then your body relearns how to deal with these things. Trust me - mine were bad. If the neighbor across the street cut their grass I was in agony even though we were in a closed, air-conditioned office. Now? No problem at all. I don't even tear up much less get congested. Sometimes it is something you ate like dairy. Fall pollen season should be over for the most part.

And yeah, this month is flying by. We've been back for a month from California and Texas and I am still trying to catch up. Got my glasses, still getting used to them, still healing. Break time is over, so it is back to it for me.

A little bit of funk is here today, I've been overdoing it, again.
just had a little |zzzzzzzzz and tonight we're going on this x-mas-dinner-entertainment thingy. (Julebord in Norwegian, possibly Christmas party in English). Hopefully, my funk and health will think of it as relaxing and uplifting.

The wife is heading to Los Angeles today to visit our daughter for 5 days so I have TONS of plans lol. Work today as usual then driving her to airport at lunch, I have a few errands but otherwise will be sitting at the computer. I do have a meet a friend tonight for a couple beers but it'll be casual.

And I have a very bad non-drinking hangover |facepalm|

My only saving grace is that my niece is coming over tomorrow to grandmasit because we're going to a wedding & staying overnight at the hotel |party2 It's a girl that grew up with my stepdaughter, so I've known here a long time, and her girlfriend, so the guy is me is all "Yeah! Lesbians!" :D They're both big time gamer-girls & it should be a good wedding based on these centerpieces that scared the shit out of me when I walked into my stepdaughter's garage a couple days ago:

We're also supposed to dress up at some point of the reception, so I got a Boba Fett mask & I bought The Bitch some Princess Leia "ear muffs"|lol|

So if I'm not here tomorrow and/or Sunday, now you know why |escape|

Good Day :)

Got an early start to working outside and I finally finished laying all the liner and weed barrier in the dry creek and new walkway to the creek. Did some tests and water is running proper. Next will be finishing up the walkway with rock and stepping stones. Can't put rock into the dry creek as the feeder system from the backyard down the side of the house to the creek is filled up with dirt/sand/debris so I'll need shovel all the rock out of that to wash it out which will run into the creek area. Then I'll clean it all out before filling everything up with rock. Lots of work left but going to take the weekend off to rest my body before all that shoveling starts.

Going to do some biz stuff and tv watching this weekend and a trip to D-land to meet up with my son and his wife. It suppose be 90F on Sunday, what month is this?
