Another quiet day. I'm liking just doing a few things I want.

Yesterday, I was playing with a WP plugin called CyberSEO. Very interesting. It allows you to take feeds (RSS, Atom, XML, delimited dumps, etc.) and import them into Wordpress using either pre-sets or using your own rules. It also has a built in content spinner too or you can attach it to one bought online. It's one way to get a website very big, very fast.

The two main college football games were interesting for different reasons. One was a blowout (LSU winning) and the other was really exciting with Clemson getting the lead in the last couple of minutes and hanging on to beat Ohio State. |tddance||tddance||tddance|

Been up for a couple hours. Got most of my Fantasy Football Playoff Pool set - just waiting on my buddy to fix the submit form (I suck at that crap) I also don't think I've pissed off |bow| Ramster in the last 5 minutes |couch|

Bills play a meaningless game at home in the rain today. Should make for plenty of injuries |facepalm| My Fantasy Football League is technically still going with 2 guys playing for 2nd in Overall Points (guess who pretty much locked that up last week!)

Spent yesterday at my daughters instead of Xmas day which was a good plan because the shortest route there, which is 2 hours if traffic is good, was closed due to snow. I was amazed by the amount of snow through what we call the grapevine (I5) and it had been shut down for 2 days.

Today is doing a bunch of chores before we head out on our Xmas vacation trip up to San Francisco. Due to snow coming in tonight through the route I mentioned above we will have to take the long way. I be up and on the road long before the sun comes up because we here the long way was a lot longer due to that road closure after Xmas. F'ing Joy |banghead|

Anyhoo, I better get to all the crap I gotta get done.

It has been some slow days, some gaming (Lotro) and some guitar-playing. Working on a few new ideas.

An author from this town committed suicide on the 25th and there was a torchlight procession (google-translated) and a memorial.
That is one thing I'm occupying myself with, mental health, especially related to substance abuse. So I went to the memorial, hoping all this fuss actually leads to more focus on mental health, suicide and all the other things related to this.
For you who don't know about this incident, he was married to Princess Martha Louise and although they were divorced, he still is some sort of royalty, at least in people's minds.
(Fox News and other US media are focusing on how Ari Behn is a Kevin Spacey accuser, which isn't exactly true. He made a comment about it during an interview (there *was* some sort of incident) and of course, it is now totally out of hand.

Yeah, the Finnish news was all over the suicide thing. It is that time of year up here. The holiday pressure is one thing, and I see more of the US style push to buy lots of big gifts here every year. Then there is the darkness - kaamos. Some don't cope with it very well. Add other issues and you have a deadly mix. Maybe if Norway pushes harder for mental health and these other social issues, Finland will follow. For most here, there are *no* resources unless you live in a big city. Hugs.. and take care of yourself first. You have been doing awesome on that battleground.

If it helps, look at where you are today, and then think back to where you were just a year or two ago. I think you will be amazed at the progress. Keep going, and never ever ever go back to what you were before. I know it is tough at times but you are already seeing the payoff. (as in GF)

I read about that author ending his life. Sad to hear that. Take care of yourselves in the days of never-ending darkness. Light is coming.
