Everyday, I wake up and for a moment think everything is fine and then I think about the COVID and get |angry|.

I found out that the person my son is staying with had a negative COVID test so that is good. Other than one small task I need to do today, I am doing nothing productive. Okay, my wife and I will go for a walk. That's about it.

Bad News: Now that they've tested everyone, they're up to 18 cases :(

Been up for a while working & forgot to stop by here |facepalm| I think I'm funkless, probably because I'm looking forward to Yell's yard this evening |cheers| 2 of my asshole buddies (brothers & fellow introverts) live in the area, so they're gonna stop by too. To be on the safeside, I'm bringing my hockey stick |hockey| so anyone that comes within slashing distance other than The Bitch is gonna get me at least 2 min in the box :D

Anyway...finally out of quarantine today so I swiftly went and hoarded candy, crisps, beer and cake....wife says i forgot essentials like food but im rather pleased with myself |bow||crazy|

I didn't even ask. It's no longer logistically possible in our house (her bedroom is now an office & we got rid of all the aid stuff - shower chair, shitter handrails, etc.)

I guess Patient Zero was in the rehab (short term) unit so odds are it was a new patient. Rehab unit is on the other side of the building from my mom, so that's good.

But in reality, if MommaGreenie needs help, she is in one of the best places. Proper equipment is already there, and so is staffing 24/7. No need to try to roust anyone or wait for help to arrive. Even though the virus is close, they can keep it from her.

We have had it break out here in several old-people homes (more like assisted living). These were among the first places closed off, so someone on staff had to bring it in.

They are not telling us where these are, sadly. Privacy is a huge thing here. They don't tell us if there are less than 5 confirmed cases in our municipalities (think counties). Ours is clear, and so is the Husband's Parent's. We figure everyone is suspect at this point.

Ah well... updates done, submits done. We are off to bed.

Greenie, good news about your mom!

Rushed outside this morning to work on that other stuff because I wanted to beat the rain. Was not suppose to be here till tomorrow but this morning it looked like it was coming sooner. Nope, after working until my back told me to fuck off the sun came out |banghead|

Nowhere near what needs to be done but I finished the first of many parts to do and it only took a week. Getting old is grand :(

How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time!
(at least that's what I tell myself to keep me motivated)
