Is console control important to you?

When deciding on which sponsors to promote, does having the ability to control consoles / exit traffic impact your decision?

Greenguy 2004-04-29 03:21 PM

Not really, but it's a nice option :)

Surfn 2004-04-29 03:31 PM

A definite maybe here.

Cleo 2004-04-29 03:33 PM

It's a nice option and I use it when I can.

I think having the option of popping your own URL on exit is a great advantage... makes it very easy to plug a niche site into an exit console chain to suit the current traffic at that moment.

If you introduce it (without having your dialer traffic filtering interfering with the pass-thru traffic flow) I will try it.

One thing I have found though is that some programs that offer "traffic back" options either add something like a no-credit entry console or use coding that is so slow it seems to only send back 30-50% of the traffic... chain 2 of those together and I end up with almost nothing at the last exit site. So if you do introduce it, I suggest you have the coders make it fast as a high priority.

Yes it is to me. It's not a huge deal but if I'm linking to a sponsor from a clean site then I'll choose a sponsor that has conzole free options rather than send my surfers through popup hell on a paysite I might have recommended.

Would you be willing to recieve a reduced payout in order to have console control?

Yes, in fact all the time when I turn them off for some places, like my link list.

Surfn 2004-04-29 05:10 PM

I would. I like having the option to use them or not. One time I may want to have consoles for a project another time I may not. I do not want to be penalized for having an option.

That is normally how it works.... payouts are $5-10 less on console free depending on the program.

it doesnt impact my decision. but it is a nice option.

Yes, the sponsors that offer it all pay less and that's fine.

That's how we set it up with ARS before. But now we don't do that. The one problem I'm running into now is that I have no internal traffic to do trades with. It's amazing how much that can hurt.

Let me just clarify that now you are able to control consoles without any reduction in payout :)
