My kernel is being updated..

Feel like I went to the dentist..:)
anyway NatNet is updating the kernel on my server..It was about 2 years old and needed an upgrade..then they will reboot the server and we hope it will come up again.. :)
The rest of the internals are ok..according to the server doc anyway..

It only took about 5 mins when National Net did ours.

I had the one for my LL's server done a few moths ago. Other then the time it took to reboot the server I wasn't down at all, about 5 min.

I do have a real lot of scripts on this server and a few of the more obscure server paths got changed and my crontab file was wiped clean. So I did have to spend a few minutes here and there with script issues as I found them.

On RedHat: up2date -f kernel ; shutdown -r now
Takes a few minutes, up2date not working? Switch hosts ;)

done..all is well..all scripts are fine..
I kinda get squeamish when server upgrades are done cause I've done em and sometimes things happen...
