Anyone Has Experience with Amazon Fire Tablets?
 

Need to get one for some trade shows coming up.
Fire 8+ looks pretty good. Getting lots of good and bad reviews. Dont know how many are real.

Thoughts?

I have one, RARELY use it, I got it mostly for flights with plane that don't have TVs lol. Only thing I can say is the ability to add Apps lacks, BIG time unless I don't know what I'm doing which is very possible |huh :D

I know a couple of people who have them - they both say its limited compared to a normal android tablet, which theyll both get next time around ... but if its mainly for jumping into amazon stuffs (books, audible etc) then its probably ideel

Any sense of which Android tablet to get? Japanese androids supposedly suck and the Chinese models wife wont touch. She's Japanese.

My main focus will be showing art to licensing companies and distributors...and coffee shop free wi-fi amazon movie viewing.

I have other tech devices but they wont cut the wax for either task. LOL.

Im super happy with my Samsung Tab S7 - but I do suspect you pay some for the brand ... wifey says her Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 (way cheaper) is pretty cool though the screen is a bit less cool than mine :)

I suspect samsungs are korean, maybe a compromise :D

Reasonably priced on US Amazon, less than $90 with 64gig drive and 3 gig ram but it is out of stock. JP has them but with what I need looking at $190.

Hincapie, I checked out your Samsung. Damn thats a GREAT tablet.
Im looking at ones a bit cheaper but will keep that in mind.

It is awesome but yeah expensive...but, the A versions are basically the same scaled down and much more affordable, so worth pondering (like the Tab A7 - https://www.tomsguide.com/reviews/samsung-galaxy-tab-a7 )

I'm still looking at models under $300. I have a tablet already. Got it 3-4 years ago. Used it for awhile now its collecting dust.

I asked the wife why we were not looking into Japanese models. She said all of them are so-so quality at twice the price. lol.

Just FYI, Chinese electronics, computers all come with free backdoor access.

Sure, wouldnt be a problem...but it´d probably have tolls put on it, making it too expensive :)

You are absolutely correct. Anytime you spend more than 16666.00 yen, around 150$ they slap a hefty fee which varies but a minimum of $110, then add $35 shipping...
