Mozilla has a nice mail program built in. I don't use it myself but it is suppose to be a decent mail program.

Yeah use any mail program except Outlook.

In Mozilla's prefs go to Tabbed Browsing and uncheck Hide the tab bar and check Load tabs in the background. Now when you are browser web pages you can right mouse click on links and open them in new tabs. I don't know how anyone surfs using browser without tabs.

It also has popup blocker built in under the Privacy prefs.

Instead of using the bloated Mozilla suite, try Mozilla's Firefox for the browser and Thunderbird for email. Firefox is a slimmed down version with the tabs and pop-stoppers etc.. and Thunderbird eats spam for lunch :)

Oh, and roboform works now with Firefox.

I set up Firefox and Thunderbird If I had known it was that easy I would have done it months ago.
But I still can't get roboform to work

It's only the newest release of roboform that works with Firefox, make sure you get that too.

IMO *anything* is better than MS outlook considering most of the email viri out there target it.

I LOVE my Firefox, and would never switch back to IE, but I had problems with Thunderbird. When I would get a spam with a 1969 date (why the hell would it have that date I don't know) it would freeze up and not download off the server. If they could get that fixed I'd love to dump my web based mail.

BTW, check out the firefox extensions.... that's when it really starts to rock!

adblock, clone window, and IE View are my favorites.
