Here's another Windows Update rant for ya |angry|

At 10:30 AM I started to download the Win 10 20H2 update because Windows said I had to or 10 would no longer be updated. About 30 min later is started to install the updates & that's when everything Windows related got wonky. My entire PC got really slow. File Explorer was showing icons but no file names. Word was unresponsive. Dialog Boxes were blank & in some cases wider than my screen. So I said "Fuck it" and took a nap.

Came back about an hour later & it was at like 18% installed |facepalm|

I checked every now & then and finally at 5PM it said I could reboot. That took another hour |facepalm|

Once it rebooted, I fired everything up and it was still slow as fuck, so I rebooted again. That one took about 30 minutes.

So at 6:30 PM - EIGHT FUCKING HOURS after I started the update - it was finally done. I was so livid at this point that I just fucked off for the rest of the evening & watched hockey.

I woke up to see it wants me to reboot again. Some things look off, like everything I open was reset to its default size. My volume was REALLY high. I get this error message anytime I do anything in File Explorer:

Clicking it does nothing & it disappears from my Notifications when I go to look at it. I'm gonna reboot it, but not until I know I'm gonna be AFK for at least an hour.


Today I have a shitload of work to do because yesterday was obviously a complete waste of time.

Had a laid back birthday yesterday. Friend took me for |beers| at 2:30, came home did an hour work then the wife and I went to dinner early around 5:30, was home by 8:30-9pm. Today it's just worked planned all day, don't think I'm going anywhere later but you never know :D

That really sucks - I think the error there is a driver one, had something similar on a laptop ( https://www.intel.com/content/www/us...d-storage.html )

Football today ...gawwwd i wish i could get on the stadium ... but well, at least the local pizzeria delivers for the occasion :)

I just looked & there's some "optional" updates in there - 4 of which are Intel |facepalm|

Did not get a vaccination appt yesterday even though I checked every 17 minutes from 8 to 4 |banghead|

I'll try again on Monday since they auto book you 4 weeks in advance for the second shot and I have plans on that Saturday.

|hellomoto| is on tv later but I'll probably record it and watch tomorrow as I have other things to do today.
