Selling domains tips?

I'm considering selling 2 domains. What are the guidelines such as how much to charge and how is this calculated? Anything I should keep in mind as a first time domain seller?

Thanks, Kamilla

I have dozens of good domains I could sell, I'm interested to hear feedback on this as well.

There is no rule as too how much to charge. Put them up for auction, with a given time limit, and the top bidder(s) wins. Certain domains will be worth more to some than others. Certain desirable characteristics : catchy and usable name, pr, current traffic levels, clean reputation among scripts/webmasters. These will help you set an opening bid.

I advise setting an overly HIGH opening bid. You can always come down. But you might have just the name that someone is looking for. Best of luck witj it :)

one more thing...about calculating price. In economics, remember there's the "Greater Fool Theory" of pricing : something is worth what the greater fool is willing to pay. ie tulip bulbs :)

Post the names and I am sure people will help with an estimate.. I did that the other week here and got great feedback.. there seems to be a lot of domain buyers around at the moment... I think it's a bit of a sellers market and a good time to be looking at doing this right now.

I picked up a domain but am having a hell of a time trying to develop it. It's goomah.com

Of course, anyone that watches Sunday Night HBO shows knows what a goomah is :) But, try to find Italian Women that look like they could be Goomahs and you will be scratching your heads. I had it setup on directnic for sale and I actually had HBO tell me they wanted to buy it. I thought WoooHooo, I am going to be rich. I gave them a conservative price and they low balled me. So, I think I will probably develop it and sell it later.
