Hump Day,June 23th (Midsummer's day celebration in these parts of the world)

G'day |horse|

If I do a long day today, and tomorrow, I will have caught up! |banana|

Today is the day where we, at least in Denmark and Norway, build huge fires to celebrate midsummer. I've never been into that, but that's what we do. The celebration used to be so 'important' that many stores were closed the day after (in parts of Norway at least).
The Swedes also celebrates midsummer, but I'm not sure that is today.

So, now you've got some unuseful fact, for free!!! |shake|
Your welcome.

Take care
J:)lly

Morning! |waves|

The discharged our friend yesterday, which seems weird because he went from the ICU to home |huh He's still getting his mords wixed a bit, so I guess he just needs time to heal.

Buffalo Sabres great & member of The French Connection in the 70s Rene Robert passed away yesterday at the age of 72 |cry| Everybody loved Perrault back then, but he was my favorite player when I was a wee boy. I even have his jersey.

Speaking of Buffalo, it looks like they might have a new socialist mayor. Not that it effects me one bit since I don't live in Buffalo...

I think the new site was finally approved by CCBill, so now I just need to test a couple things before we launch.

Just work today, along with a trip to see my mom |party2

All I know is that these are the "longest" days of the year as far as sunshine, so my solar panels should be producing a lot of energy, but it's been overcast & raining |angry|

Morning. |coffee

Some days feel like Groundhog Day (the movie). I am part of a group that makes sandwiches for the local shelters. So on Wednesdays, it's off to Costco to get supplies. I think I'll add Pet Smart into the mix today. Woo hoo! Later, I'll be at my desk doing whatever I do.

Have a good one! |thumb

Finland doesn't officially celebrate Midsummer (Juhannus) until Saturday, but the parties and saunas will start going on Friday. Many parts of the celebration were cancelled and things are scaled back. That doesn't really matter too much though. Most Finns escape the cities for their summer cabins anyway. Those that stay behind will have no problem with the social distancing. We just had a nice little thunderstorm roll past, but it is still too damned hot to do anything.

Good Morning :)

Got in a lot of work on the house yesterday which is good. Need to do a little more today and then taking a break until next week as my grandson is staying with for four days starting Friday |banana|

Other than that and a couple of in the house chores it's biz/tv/nap the rest of the day.

Happy Midsummer, and hump day. Cool out there but sunny. Actually quite beautiful.

I'm so happy, my outdoor lights around the house have all been replaced with better, brighter, and more robust LED lights. The backyard in particular is BRIGHT, which is perfect for keeping the critters away. They are dusk to dawn lights as well which is kinda cool.

Son is all done with high school. Yesterday was his last day. He was accepted to college and will begin in late August. I'm so proud of him. Meanwhile, he's going to be working at least 2 days a week (because of Covid) where my wife works.

Me, I am keeping an eye every day on the travel restrictions as I am anxious (as we all are) to get some travelling going.
