LONDON — OnlyFans will begin banning explicit sexual content starting in October, according to statements made to Bloomberg.

The announcement was made by the company this morning and first published by the financial news site.

“OnlyFans is getting out of the pornography business,” Bloomberg reported. “The company will prohibit users from posting any sexually explicit conduct, starting in October. Creators will still be allowed to post nude photos and videos, provided they’re consistent with OnlyFans’ policy, the company said Thursday.”

“The changes are needed because of mounting pressure from banking partners and payment providers, according to the company,” Bloomberg explained.

“In order to ensure the long-term sustainability of our platform, and the continue to host an inclusive community of creators and fans, we must evolve our content guidelines,” an OnlyFans rep told Bloomberg.

Religiously motivated politicians like Rep. Ann Wagner (R-Missouri) and groups like NCOSE (formerly Morality in Media) have recently stepped up a campaign trying to defund and shut down OnlyFans.

People were speculating this was coming for months and months. "Nudes" will be okay still, much easier to verify the perform is of legal age if it's just the performer in the videos or photos lol. There are some pornstars making $100K+ a month FYI and they're likely scrambling to get "porn" removed so the account isn't closed.

^^^ A friend of my daughter quit her office job to work full-time on OnlyFans. Last time she mentioned it, she said she was making over $6,000 a month.

That is VERY typical. Totally unknown girls are making more on OF than working a regular job, some insane money!

Kind of reminds me of the early 2000s when some of us got online. Working for $60K a year, go online and make that much after 6 months lol, quit job :D

LOS ANGELES — OnlyFans will continue to allow users to post sexually explicit material, an abrupt reversal of a plan announced just days ago, according to a Bloomberg report this morning.

That original decision prompted "an uproar from creators and sex workers who had come to rely on it as a source of income," Bloomberg wrote, and "was forced in part because of pressure from 'banking and payment services,' the London-based company had said."

OnlyFans published the reversal in a tweet and noted an official statement to creators would shortly follow.

"We have secured assurances necessary to support our diverse creator community and have suspended the planned October 1 policy change," the company said. "OnlyFans stands for inclusion and we will continue to provide a home for all creators."

They likely did that Twitter post to help slow the MASS EXODUS that is currently happened by their creators.

They are on the target list thanks to the fanatic religious groups and with that, Mastercard could pull their processing just like they did with Pornhub. OnlyFans has NO IDEA if the content is consensual or of legal age. They've never required paperwork in the past. Pornhub dumped over 9,000,000 videos from their database because it was all "user uploaded" and no docs would ever be found. OF has a similar issue.

And the Mastercard rules come into affect October 15th.

1st off, sorry I missed this.

I personally don't know enough about how sites* like OnlyFans work from the inside to give any real advice on the situation. But, I do know that my boss has a stake in Peachly and ELX Complete (from ElevatedX) looks to be a membership and/or clips site that has the options & pricing built in so the performer can do the same things they do on sites like OnlyFans.

Personally, I will be using ELX Complete for my next site, so all I know is what's on their page. I think Ramster uses it, so maybe he can chime in after I msg him so that he sees this post :D

FWIW, in regards to their Tweet about the policy change, someone pointed out the word "suspended":
They pointed out that using the word "suspended" means it may come back, compared to something like "terminated" or "ended" where it wouldn't be coming back.

- VOD area that operates separately
- Store area if wanted as well to sell whatever you want, within reason
